Offline | Pocket, I apologize for not getting back to you, I have been super busy motoring! My dealership was Moritz MINI in Arlington TX - The whole experience was simple, and very straightforward. Very professional. I would highly recommend them and most likely will be a repeat customer. The price was MSRP, no upcharges or hidden costs. As far as freebies go: Usual Smints Baseball cap with MINI logo (black) very nice Key Chain Full tank of gas I did mention to my MA that my son would really like a MINI Bulldog and he said that he would see what he could do. (They were out of them at the time.) ...not much else... The only thing that is an issue for me is the break-in period. It is very hard to keep it under 4500 rpms and 90 MPH!!! This car is by far the best driving experience I have had in a long time. I enjoy driving again! Oh, and one other thing. When you are stopped in your MINI (market, gas station, etc.) Be prepared to spend at least 30 minutes catering to lookers! I have never seen a car that drew soooo much attention. (I love it!) ![]() |

Offline | Tracking ???? I here ya OldPaint.. Everyone forget about any way of tracking your MINI once it has hit the dock and has been loaded on a ship. You'll have to wait until your MINI hits your shore, then after a few days give your dealer a call to check on the status. OL, WW and ASK MINI at this point is W.O.F.T. Get my drift? Offline | Aida sailing along nicely.... For those of you on the Aida, due into NYC this Thursday, the Oceanwatch site is doing a nice job of tracking her. It looks like she is well over half way here, and the WW site still shows her on schedule. Talked to MA today, and he is estimating that "Amelia" will be at his doorstep on May 14th! That's at least 3 weeks earlier than I counted on. I would be happy just to have her before the long Memorial day weekend. Now if they only decided to started putting an MP3 capable HK radio in a few months early...... Naw, that would be too much to wish for. Congrats to all those who have taken delivery, and a big hello to my fellow shipmates. Dirny ![]() |

Offline | Doooh I'm so jealous. We're supposed to be an April build, but my dealer can't give me a VIN or an ETA. The salesman assures me she's been built but assurances don't give me a warm fuzzy feeling. 2004 Mini Cooper CR/W |

| Outlaw | David, Point Blank... Your dealer is jerking you around if they say your car is built but they do not have a vin. Reports are perpetually sent to the dealership and if the car is built then they HAVE A VIN.. If the car has not been built but order has been placed then they have a production number. My dealership called me to tell me my car was assigned a production date and production # BEFORE the car was built.. Ask for the Manager and tell them that you need assistance. Tell the manager you are being told your car was built and if that is true you want your production # or your VIN which MINIUSA told you the dealership could provide.. Tell the manager that you want to track your MINI in the Owners Lounge like other customers. https://ol.miniusa.com/oe/home.asp?l...emainlogin.asp Let us know what happens... Craig |

Offline | Craig I agree. The sales rep is jerking me. When I get past month end stuff I'll escalate this to the manager. Unfortunately, the MINIUSA Owners Lounge won't help me north of the 49th parallel. The MINI Canada site doesn't have a similar facility. Thanks for you comments. 2004 Mini Cooper CR/W |

Offline | He is correct David, Pocket_rocket is correct in his statement. You are being jerked around. Maybe they are just waiting for a car that they have pre-order for the dealership that may fit what you want? I any case no production number = no order at the plant.
