Offline | My dealer is won't even estimate. When I ordered he said "before 8 weeks". I ordered 3/27 - so 8 weeks would be 5/22. I went there with a friend this week so he could test drive and my MA would say was "within the next 2 weeks". Where are you finding an estimated delivery date in the Owner's Lounge? I see nothing that gives dates in there. I was hoping for mid-week next week but if it gets unloaded on a Friday, I guess I'm just expecting that things move slowly in NY on the weekends and will +++ days. I have nothing the dealer has to install, so I can't imagine that they'd have to do much to it once they get it. |

Offline | I ordered mine on 3/26, dealer said first week of June. In the OL, under "track your mini" click on 'order detail', an estimated date of arrival showed up there for me last week. I would think you would have one too. Hang in there. I'll check WW one more time tonight, hopefully they get an early start tomorrow, and catch up. |

Offline | Hey - I hadn't looked at that. It says 5/13! That would be a week from today but I know my MA has Thursdays off. It would make the wait a bit easier if I knew for sure this was my last weekend driving around in my old Saturn...... I find that I'm growing more impatient the closer it gets! |

Offline | Aida unloading update Took a better look at the booking, and it shows 9 cars being discharged at 7pm last night, and the other 230 cars being discharged at 8am this morning. So, some more speculation on my part, but- The Aida must have been docked last night in order to discharge any vehicles. I can't imagine them taking 9 cars off, and leaving the rest for morning. I think it was just the paperwork catching up, someone started inputing them last night (9 to be exact) and then came in this morning and inputed the rest. It would appear that the WW dock in NYC doesn't have the real time updating that Southampton does. Which means that- Our cars most likely did hit land yesterday, as planned, so hopefully our estimated arrival dates are still good. Hopefully, this guess is a good as any! ![]() |

Offline | Okay - I'm a bit frustrated that now that my Mini is on US shores, the ability to track it evaporated. Aida docked Thursday and today my dealer says it'll arrive "any day". He said cars have just been showing up with no notice. I could get it tomorrow or it might not come in until Saturday. Is anyone else also feeling the twinge of the ever increasing gas prices? They finally broke $2 a gallon for regular unleaded in my neighborhood today - saw one place at $2.21! Premium there wasn't listed but average 20cents a gallon more. I bought gas at the "cheap" station this afternoon for $1.92 and on my way home even they were up to $1.99. Starting to be a bit concerned that I'm days away from taking delivery of a car with champagne tastes. |

Offline | You should be able to track it with the company that is providing the transport from dock to your dealer. In OZ, its TNT - you just have a con number based on your VIN I think. Tell me about it. In Oz, we pay about $1.10 for premium unleaded. And thats per LITRE! Its supposed to go up to like $1.20 to $1.50 with China buying up all these reserves or whatevers going on with our exchange rate again and the global economy and..... ![]() I too wonder. 5 weeks from taking delivery of a car which I can now only just afford .... ![]() - Global Moderator - MY BLOG - Global Procrastinator - ![]() ... Offline | Hey - it's all about what you're used to paying. If something goes up over 15% in price in the course of a few hours, it's only natural to not like it - especially when you know it happened yesterday also and could happen again tomorrow. |

Offline | After being able to pinpoint where my MCS was on the Atlantic, it is a bit frustrating not knowing anything at the moment. If the OL would at least update and say my car is at the VPC, instead of still saying it is en route, I would feel better. My ETA is still 5/12/04 (tomorrow) and my MA informed me yesterday that his computer says tomorrow also. I am hoping that I can pick it up Friday afternoon and have her for the weekend. For those of us who came off the Aida last week, has the OL updated for you yet to state you are at VPC? I'm curious to see if some are going through, or they are just waiting on some batch process from WW to update their computer. As far as gas prices are concerned, I'm old enough to remember the gas crisis of the early 70's and the "high" prices and long lines at the pump. Being from Detroit, I also travel to Canada often, and am shocked at their prices. The MINI is replacing my wife's mini-van, so, in the end, it is all relative. Perhaps the real question is, once we get our MINIs will we be able to keep our foot out of the throttle and conserve some of that champagne in the tank? ![]() |

Offline | Don Pasquale Sailing along great!!! Scheduled to Dock on May 13, MOL says estimated delivery date of May 19, Im hoping it will be sooner, cause I don;t know how long the dealer installs will take, but I can bug him to get it done with. If it gets unloaded on the Thurs the 13, anyone think its possible it will be at my dealer, like mon or tues? Ports in Jersey, Dealers only anout an hour or hour and a half away. Well ill keep you all posted, Gas is crazy, I am currently driving a jeep, costs now about $54 to fill up, it's like $2.09 by me. can't believe it, and can't wait to get that small MINI gas tank, instead of a 40 gallon monster. |

Offline | Dirny, Yes - quite frustrating that while Aida was in the middle of the ocean, I knew exactly (well - so to speak ) where the car was. Now that it's on US shores, and somewhere between the midwest and New Jersey, she's completely lost. 866-ASKMINI and OL website are completely useless. ASKMIN says it's still at the port waiting for a ship and the OL says it's still enroute. The details page still gives a Thursday delivery date.Since my dealer said yesterday that it could be any day - including Saturday - I picked up my financing check today to ensure that I don't get stuck in the "car's available but I have to wait until the credit union opens on Monday" nightmare. Hoping for some news by this time tomorrow...... |

Offline | Satellite/GPS tracking?? Wondering if anyone has tracked, or is tracking their boat via GPS? Is this possible? And if so, what website can offer it? My ship is currently in the Indian Ocean between Africa and Australia, and I would like to see where it is exactly.... thanks to anyone that can help ![]() - Global Moderator - MY BLOG - Global Procrastinator - ![]() ... Offline | OL updated tonight from en route to at Distribution Center. In reality, my car was probably released from the distributon center today. I have found that the OL mini tracking has been 2-3 days behind where the car really is. Good luck and we'll be motoring soon! |

Offline | WHOOHOOO! Finally some movement on the OL site. I was beginning to worry. My MCS shows at the distribution center also. Maybe the delivery date of 5/12 might be right after all. I just know that I will end up driving past the dealership 3 or 4 times tomorrow, and generally stalking! Luckily, the only MINI store in Michigan is only 5 minutes from home... |

Offline | Spav- Welcome- Nice to see someone new. Did you come over on the Aida as well? Just drove by my MINI store, and no EB/MCS to be found, so, my car isn't there yet. Will check later on today again. Anyone have any idea how long it takes the dealer to prep one of these cars (including all the programming)? |

Offline | Yes...I was on the Aida. Just found this thread. I called Classic Mini and they have me listed as 5/14/04 just like the website said, so I'm hoping for a pickup next week. My MA told me they take about a day or so. They're installing my Line-in jack, and that's about it. |
