Just found out that the wifes MCS is in production for 4/16/2004.

Mine is still 4/14/2004.

Were Rock'n and Roll'n now....

Just found out my Pepper White Cooper is in production and scheduled for completion on April 15!

I went to my dealer on Friday 4/2 to get my MINI test drive fix for the month. My salesman pulled up the production status on his computer and it showed my IB/W in paint and body...scheduled for interior assembly that night. Production is complete on 4/5 woohoo! Now... getting her on the boat is the next leg of the journey! It will not be long now. I even painted my garage for the welcoming party!

Yeah, the wife and I are in the middle of doing a complete overhaul of our garage. You know, you must do something special to welcome the new babies, in our case two new MCS.

I happened to go out and check the WW site and my VIN is not showing up yet. I thought they new in advance which ship it was travelling on. Or am I just smokin' something?

I rang up my dealer and they won't get the car until the 15th! The delivery date, damn it!! They've not even got the delivery note through yet! :-(

BUT, it starts numbering from 0 not 1, so that could be where the inconsistency arose.

Wow! My car was a Week 14 build as well

It too is awaiting transport. How did you find out what the WW booking number was?

I used the link that is found in the FAQ section that takes you to the shipping line's dynamic status web page.

After checking the status, it has been loaded on the "Pacific Leader" bound for Port Hueneme, CA! Are any of Marian's (that's her name) family owners on the same ship? It is scheduled to finally arrive 4/30/2004

As of today per the friendly rep at Ask MINI ... our Blitzen has entered the Body Shop!

My little guy is still scheduled for completion by Thursday!

Just checked the WW site and my IB/W was received at terminal this morning at 1:28 AM on the Independence scheduled to depart April 10 and arrive at Charleston on April 22. Hope its not a lonely ride! Any others???

My MINI started production today! It was scheduled for week 17; I'm not sure whether that's supposed to be the beginning or the end, but today is still sooner than I expected.

You guys are very lucky that you can track the progress of your MINIs during production. This does not appear to be a service MINI Australia offers.

But ... is it as simple as trusting someone with my production number who has access to these tracking services???

I just want to find out when my car is scheduled for build, I know it is likely to be close to the end of April, but I'd like to know the exact day things are happening!

You can't even do it in the UK. Not even the stealers seem to have much info!

You should be able to try it yourself if you have a production number. Go to the owner's lounge and follow the instructions for creating a new account (under "FIRST TIME HERE"). You'll have to enter your production number and provide an e-mail address and some other info.

Unfortunately, the owner's lounge is not as up-to-date as 1 866 ASK MINI, which I guess you can't call. I think MINI USA must spend a lot of money supporting this number--there is seldom very much wait for a person and they are very professional and friendly. If they spent a little more making the automated systems talk to each other and to the computers that the ASK MINI people have access to, they could probably spend a lot less on this service. But hey, jobs are good.
