Now it seems like there was no wait at all.

It will drive you nuts but stick with MINI2 and you'll find other obsessive owners to bond with and end up with some great friends

I am REALLY hoping that I get bumped up into April as well. I mean, first week of May? Could easily get bumped. I know a lot of people do.

And I try to update my friends, and they give me a "that's nice."

According to ASK MINI this morning, I am scheduled for a WEEK 19 build. It's my understanding that the week of January 4 was week 1...

Yes, I'm getting ahead of myself (and sitting here all by my lonesome waiting for others who are as obsessive and neurotic about getting their MINI as I am to join in this thread - COME ON! Where IS everyone?), but I ran what ships are scheduled so far to be running in May.....

I'm still hoping that they will be running ahead of schedule and maybe I'll squeek into week 18. I'm really looking forward to tracking him in his journey! I'm still working on a name for him...

Hi folks, I'm brand spanking new around here.

I just got back from the dealer a little while ago, and I was told that my order would be placed on Monday or Tuesday and that I would be in the last week of the May production group, week 20 to be exact. Now since I haven't actually gotten a production number yet, I won't be certain that I'm in the May group until I get my hands on that number. But for now I'm crossing my fingers!

Ive got my production number... where do I check the estimated production date? All I see on MINIusa.com is "On Order". I ordered my PW/B MSC on 2/22 and was originally quoted the first week of June.

YAY!! I've got company! Welcome Jesss! Welcome Jcampos!

Jesss, there is always controversy about what production week means when. According to the majority of this board, my MA, and one person at 866-ASK-MINI, production week #1 started on January 4, 2004. So production week #19 (mine) starts May 2nd, and production week #20 (yours) starts May 9th. One person at ask Mini did a rough estimate and said mid to late May was production week 19

So I don't know! BUT, with everyone in prior months who went by the January 4th starting week#1 with no breaks in week numbers, it turned out pretty accurate, if not slow (their cars finished before their production week). I would love to know what the real story is though and why there is controversy over what week #s mean...

Jcampos, call your MA. Hopefully your MA is nice and helpful. Mine sure is. He told me to call him or email him as much as I liked. ALSO, if you call 866-ASK-MINI, speak to customer service and ask them what your production week is. (But DON'T do the tracking there - mine is still telling me it's in transit, and it's not even built yet). You ordered in February?? WOW, are you on the West Coast like CA or something? It's pretty awful the way dealers have to "reserve" their spots on the line. Because then some people get their cars in a month whereas other like yourself have to wait a lot longer.

Welcome guys! It will be fun going into production with each other!

Hello everyone.
I have been reading the forums for days now and finally decided to registrate. (thanks for all the info).
I heve ordered a cosmos black Mini One D on the 20 of March. The dealer told me that the car would be manufactered during the first week of May and that it would be available for me to collect somewhere in the middle of May.
Like I said, it's a cosmos black One D (doing 35.000km/year, need a diesel), with five star alloys, airco, alarm, salt package, sport seats.
P.S. sorry if my english is not so good, i usually speak dutch.

The IB/W with bonnet stripes combination (and white alloys) is my favourite too.It makes the mini look even more sporty. As the white roof is not available on MINI One, I had to stick to my second choise which is the all Black.

WANNAMINI. i also ordered a MCS. dark silver/black at classic mini on 3/27. pretty cool huh. thing is i just called ask mini. they said first week of may production but then they said it was week 21. huh. they also said deivery end of june at the latest. that sucks. thats three months from now.

That's CRAZY!!!! What time were you there? I was there right after it opened with my stepdad. WHY week 21?? How could you be week 21 and I'm 19? I get so confused over this production week thing. Nah nah, I can't imagine that it will be end of June - they do that to cover their butts in case something happens during shipping. They build in a lot of ship time for the docks and what not. The average ship time I think is about 4 weeks. So, get built first of May, then avg. four weeks after that. AND, I've heard that they are usually conservative on their week estimate. I'm just wondering how you could be week 21. I would call your MA - who did you deal with? Get the details from him/her. And while you're at it, let me know what they have to say about the meaning of production week. hahaha

The only thing I can think is that I worked with Jared, and he input my order and gave me my production number right then and there. Perhaps I got one of Classic MINI's last slots for week 19? I have NO idea.......

Is this wait already a killer or what????
