Anyone booked on the AIDA?

Just wondering if any soon-to-be MINI owners were awaiting for their arrivals by way of the Aida.It looks like my Minney is on her way. Boat left Southampton yesterday and should touch USA sail next Saturday.

Hi Minney and Minnie and everyone on her ship (Aida). My Mini arrived on USA shores last Monday night around midnight and got to the dealership today (Friday April 9th). I will be pickiing up my little bumble bee mini on Wedneaday. The dealer has to wait to get the origination certificate before he can release the car to me. So I will go down on Wednesday morning!!!!!!!!!! Yippeee!!!!!!!! Little Bumble Bee Mini was on the ship Carmen. Once your Mini's reach port in NY/NJ they are unloaded from the ship very quickly and go through the VDC fairly fast. The owners lounge is very slow to update but I have noticed that they seem to update around 11p.m. every night!!!!!!!! I am still listed as being at the VDC but my sales dude called me this morning to tell me that when he got to work this morning he saw my mini right off!!!!!!!

Here is some other good news. I had found my own financing on the internet and got 3.85% from Capital One (60 months / $10,000.00 finanaced). Mini had told me that they could get me 4.99% When the dealership called me this morning they asked me about financing and I told them what I had and that I had a blank check in my hand. Well, they called around to their banks and MATCHED that rate for me so do yourself a favor.......show around for a decent interest rate!!!!!!!! After all, the interest you are paying it basically lining their pockets (bank) and not YOUR pockets.

I am so glad that Minney has some mini mates on the ship aida and that she will be here soon. I hope she can handle us nutty Americans and forget about those British Bobbies........ even if they are cute!!!!!!!!!!!! Pretty soon Minney will be saying LAND HO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for everyone on the Aida because the Mini's will be here soon and you guys are going to be so excited. I can't wait to get my Mini Buzz Bumble Bee.

Congrats to you too. I'm in NJ. Went to the NY AutoShow today for the Mini/Autoweek event. Saw a lot of miniacs..one woman drove up from Atlanta just for the U.S. launch of the Mini convertible!

I'm well rested, back from vacation and my Minney isn't ready like I was hoping. ETA was supposed to be April 17. Ask Mini said that she's waiting to get on a truck, so I'm hoping she'll at the dealership by the end of this week.

Good news: My new license plate arrived -- surprisingly fast -- so I'll have my new MINNEY plate from the get-go.

Robyn: How are you enjoying your Mini Bee? I, too, got a good rate from the dealership. I shopped around and they beat the best rate I found -- but I am putting a big chunk down to avoid a big monthly payment.

Warren: Did you get your Mini yet? The auto show must've been fun. How did you like the convertible in person?

I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Minney at the dealership, as she released from the VDC a few days ago. She might be there now, as I was just told that two carriers just pulled into the dealership a short while ago (and I didn't even call the dealership today until a few minutes ago -- good restraint!).

I wanted to break her in over the weekend -- like you'll be doing. Enjoy and let me know how it goes. Enjoy!

No Minney yet. I'm getting antsy. I signed off on the financing and DMV paperwork last night at the dealership. I hope that she arrives by tomorrow a.m. so that I'll have her by Saturday. The waiting game is getting old ...

Have you put on a lot of miles on your Mini so far?

i ordered 4/1 and am having it delivered to cincinati. am very excited and looking forward to getting it. Got the s, halogens, checkered flag roof. i rented one a month ago in London and just had to have one.
