I voted as late, even though I don't have my baby yet... my MA told me 8-10 weeks (closer to the 10) and as of Tuesday of next week, it will be 10 on the nose... and the ship carrying my baby hasn't (as of yet that I know of) even gone through the Panama Canal... Emailed my MA, and he told me to expect it by the 30th or 31st, "first week of Aug. at the latest"... baaa

I think the trick is not to phone the dealer, I have contacted them a couple of times just wanting clarification of certain things (and changing spec!!) and each time they give me a different date, its now late Oct....

So I can predict mine will be late (please god let it be early!!)

Tom

0 days to go....lets drive!!!
CAN YOU TELL WHAT IT IS YET!!!!

Thumbs up

Ordered 9th June. Was told late August, possibly early September for delivery when ordering. Was then told around the 9th August when I was in the garage at the launch of the convertable on the 26th June.

Phoned them on Tuesday 3rd Aug and was told it had arrived that morning! Getting it tomorrow - 6th August!

Ordered my '05 MCS on Sept. 2, it arrived at the dealer (Crown MINI of Richmond, VA) on Oct. 8 late at night and will be ready for pickup on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Right at five weeks, not bad!! My original delivery date was Oct. 18.

HOooWeeeeee!

Hi.

I ordered a new Cooper on March 11th and was told it would available to me by 'mid-to late April,' which works out to be 5 to 7 weeks. I was originally told that it would take 6 to 8 weeks, but after looking at some official looking piece of paper, my advisor (that's what it says on her business card - 'Motoring Advisor,' revised the time frame by one week.

We'll see how long it actually takes. I haven't been this excited about getting a new car in, well, ever!

Still waiting...

I was told mine would take approximately 12 weeks to get to me, but I've been hearing SO many people say they got theirs within 6/7 weeks. I ordered February 26, '05 and so far it isn't even actually scheduled for production! They did give me a tentative date of April 14th for production to be complete, so it will have been about 6 weeks from when I ordered it before it even starts making it's way to the states! Boo Hoo!

Threads like this make me very nervous. I see some of those huge waits and think my dealer slipped a fast one on me...then I noticed that most of these comments were posted last year and can only hope that Mini has upped their production capacity in the meantime. Ahem, guess I'll find out in June if the 6-8 week wait time was accurate!

Update: Nugget arrived five weeks after the order was placed...or three whole weeks early!

I haven't read the thread yet - I know: badboy - but I just wanted to say that even though my ship was delayed at sea by a week, I still took delivery earlier than I was cheduled to. South Bay MINI in Torrance, CA came through, with no markup!

(Didn't makle it any easier to endure the wait, FWIW...)

Was told my Mini would arrive week 36 (2005), so that would be 5-9th September! I hope its on time or early, but I don't know what to expect! Days feel like years at the moment though.... ......but it will be worth the wait I'm sure!

ive ordered mine and the estimated delivery is due around 15h october seems such a long way. what are the chances of it coming earlier, really earlier i live in south east area just on the skirts of london if that has any bearing, might produce them earlier for certain areas.

will it be on a 55 plate btw?

Ordered Aug. 7, 2005, received October 8, 2005 (east coast USA)

I was told 5 weeks at the time of order, and it came about a week early.
I voted 'on time' based on the OL estimated date of 10/7.
