Offline | How long after "on order" Gang, Like all true US Mini fanatics that just put in an order, I have been constantly checking the Owner's Lounge for an update in status. As of this writing I am still "On Order" Once this changes to "Scheduled for Production", approximately how long does it take to get to the dealer? It does need to take that trip across the pond... Meanwhile I'm slowly going insane waiting. Knowing this info won't really make it better. It just gives me something else to obsess over. I'm sure you all understand. Thanks, Race out. |

Offline | Owner's Lounge is quite unreliable as it says mine has "awaiting for transport" for a week, when in fact it is on a ship approaching the east coast as we speak. The bes thing to do is to call ASKMIN... if the automated system can't tell you the status of the car, hold the line for a real person and they will gladly. Offline | Bah, you guys get it easy ... in Australia a 12 week wait is about par for the course. I waited 105 days from ordering, although there was about 14 days from ordering to getting a production number. Hmm, since hitting my kangaroo on 20 July, I'm lokking at a 7 week repair due to a parts delay. Woulda been quicker in the States to have had a brand new car built! ![]() |

Offline | Thanks all for the replies! I will be trying the phone number. Should be interesting to see the difference. Sorry to hear about your baby! A 12 week wait would put me in an Asylum! Race out. |

Offline | my timeline My 04 MCS was March Production ... my group felt I was rather fast tracked. But I like to think it jsut kept moving along because I didn't check up on it very much. here was timeline: 2/14/04 - ordered 2/15 - minor change to order 2/16 - received production number via e-mail; Status: scheduled for production, with no production date 3/6 - production started, scheduled end date 3/14 3/13 - awaiting transportation 3/17 - loaded on vessel 4/1 - arrived at Charleston VDC 4/7 - arrived at Dealer in Atlanta 4/16 - Mr Q was Mine I never had a production start date ahead of time. 3 weeks into my process, it just "was." Once Mr. Q was loaded onto the ship, the shipping websites, ASK MINI and the Owners Lounge had no clue where the car was and would even show it going backwards in status. I called once a week until it was on the ocean. Then Iwaited to hear from my MA. ASK MINI (and I never talked to anyone, I just used the automated section), was more accurate than the owner's lounge. BSQ I don't drive too fast ... you just look too slow! We're not lost ... this is the scenic route ![]() Mr. Q's blog |

Offline | My car took just under 4 weeks from being completed to arriving at my house -- completed Jan. 16, brought home Feb. 12. Takes about 10-12 days to make it over on the boat from the UK to Georgia, plus there are delays getting to the ship, getting the ship, and being processed once it's off the ship. And then it is transported by truck to your dealer. I see you are on the East Coast (or at least on Eastern time), so you might get it a little quicker. Certainly quicker than California -- their ships have to pass through the Panama Canal, and the shipping process is thus pretty long... My timeline: Ordered ('04 MCS): 10/17 Prod. # rec'd: 12/6 Scheduled for production: 1/4 Started production: 1/12 Completed production: 1/16 Boarded on the ship: 1/23 Arrived in Southamption: 2/3 Arrived at dealer (Texas): 2/9 Brought home: 2/12 ASK-MINI has the most up to date info, and it can change in the middle of the day. It's just a computer, so don't worry about calling a lot! Many of us have called and called and called... ![]() ![]() Look at that little S car go! [Sold 2/06] |

Offline | I've been on a list since March 22nd. August 12th my MA took our order. Today Aug 20th we found out through ASK MINI we are scheduled for production. No date. So I then called my MA. He checked somewhere else and said a build date was Sept 5 to 11th. Hope it runs this smooth throughout! |
