Offline | Anyone on Freedom got their Mini yet? My MCSC was on the Freedom which landed 9/3. I know MountainGal has already received her car. Anyone else who was on that boat received theirs yet?? Only reason I ask is because my EDD on the OL was scheduled for 9/11. Now that it's 9/13, no updates have been made to that page. I called my MA today, and he says according to their records, my car hasn't even been loaded on a truck out of South Carolina yet!! Can this be true? 10 days since the boat landed and it's still in South Carolina? Very frustrating. Makes me nervous they found some heinous defect in my car that prolonged it at the VPC. Of course, no one can tell you how long it stayed in the VPC or anything. Anyway, it would be interesting to know if anyone else from Freedom has gotten their cars yet... ![]() |

Offline | I live in Racine and ordered from International Mini in Milwaukee. I ordered a hot orange convertible, but not an S. I went pretty no-frills; got cloth upholstery because I don't like leather (Hot in summer, cold in winter and unforgiving). This is my first new car in 18 years so I am awfully antsy waiting! When I called the dealer last week, Thursday, he said, same as your MA that is hadn't been released yet. It's aggravating - so close and yet so far - but what can you do? |

Offline | Are we there yet? I see you issued an ultimatum for delivery this weekend. Have you got a car coming tomorrow? I have not had any word from International, but my EDD has changed again in the Owner's Lounge. ![]() |

Offline | Well, my EDD STILL SAYS 9/11. I called International today, they have received cars all week, but obviously not ours. Everytime I talk with them, they keep saying anyday. Anyway, I did issue the ultimatum, but of course it won't do any good. We'll see. Who's your MA there? Mine is Sean. |

Offline | Argh!!!! I bought mine from Adam. I have a contract date of 9/30 so I am waiting until then to bombard him with phone calls. Unfortunately, I sold my car so now, in addition to WANTING it, I NEED it. Should I hear anything I'll let you know. Please let me know if you have any updates! |

Offline | I had to fill out paperwork at the dealership which included purchase price, and downpayment information. On it I was given a written contract date of 9/30. I was told that meant my car would be here on or before that date. If not the contract could be voided which means only that I could walk away from the deal and get my deposit back. At the time (late July) International told me it was really just a safe guess and the car most likely would be here before that. It looks now like it will be cutting it close. I am frustrated having followed the same tracking you did, but I keep coming back to the thought that 9/30 is the first date they promised it would be in. I also remember looking at the cargo on Freedom and seeing car after car..... I know a lot of those cars have been delivered, some a long time ago, but I also realize that someone has to be last and someone has to have the car that was the last one checked in Charleston, and the last one to get loaded on a truck. Unfortunately it appears that's us. I know commission isn't paid until the car is paid for so I trust that my MA is eager to get this deal closed as well. BUT I WISH HE'D HURRY UP!!!!! |

Offline | Still no word That's interesting about the contract date...that option was never mentioned to me...something else that makes me mad about this whole experience I never filled out any paperwork, all of this was done over the phone, never even seen the dealership (International) So you have no car now? Man that really sucks. Sep 30 is the date my auto loan deal runs out (it was good for 45 days). I am going to change that to my deadline. Turns out even if my car was available for pickup today, I would not have been able to get it (my ride to Milwaukee had her appendix taken out last night). I called Patrick and Knauz Mini dealers in Chicago, both have been delivering convertibles to their customers. International last week said they hadn't even received any customer convertibles yet. Starting to think I made the wrong decision about going with International. I checked with them when I began the ordering process, but went with International because the told me I was top on their list and would "definitely" get the car early in September. Anyway, the process has been frustrating. Did I mention my car was ordered with the wrong wheels? Oh, and my EDD stil says 9/11. |

Offline | Hmmmm...... I don't know how things work by phone, or why they wouldn't still send you a contract. I assume you didn't get a phone call yesterday saying come get your car. I had my fingers crossed - not that I could get at the money on Saturday afternoon. I won't be storing the car over the winter - this is my only car, so I would love to get a chance to enjoy it, top down, while there's any semblance of sunshine left. How did you come to buy your car from International? Isn't there a MINI dealer in Madison? How did you know they were taking orders? I called in early July, maybe late June and International had NO information and was not taking names for orders. Within a week I got a call saying they were taking orders; we went up there the next day, hemmed and hawed for two days and I (or so I was told) bought the last of the 6 they were allotted for September delivery. Knauz, at the same time, had only January/fFebruary delivery available. They had already sold out their initial allottment. They also wanted significantly more for a deposit. I am really hopeful that the car shows up early this week. We are not used to being a one car household and every sunny day I wish I hadn't sold my MGB! |

Offline | International Mini is the only dealer in the state. I have a similar story to yours as why I chose them. I sent you a private message on here with my cell phone. Give me a call, I'd like to talk with someone in the same boat (literally!) as me. |
