Offline | Got a production week..what's this mean Ok, I put my order for an S in about 3 weeks ago and was told November time frame. I just called today to find out an exact production week and was told 42. So by my calculations, that's the week of the 17th of October. So if it's built that week, then about how long to get my car after that? I know it depends on the boat and stuff, but how long has it taken you guys to get it after it was built? I live in Atlanta, so at least it should be faster than the West Coast once it lands on US soil... http://ibooth.net/s-banner-small.jpg Current Status: Picked up 11/10 and still haven't wiped the grin off of my face!! |

Offline | Not long now. Now that you have the production week, usually it's "built by" and is normally a Friday but things change. Most seem to be to the docks in Southhampton within 3 days of completion, loaded on a boat and depending on the route will take 8 -12 days to go across the pond. If the ship goes to NY direct, its 8, if it goes via Halifax its 12 and then some come out of NY and go to Charleston VPC. Usually only 1 day in NY and then onward, south. There may be a direct to Charleston. Check on the schedules. Hopefully yours won't be delayed at the VPC. The early ones were delayed in NY ( NJ) for paperwork. Then it's up to delivery to the Dealer and dealer prep. Good luck. Keep watching the miniusa site for status but calling is more up to date. |
