Here's a partial list in case you hear of people saying their car is in such and such a state:

Status 150 - Parts are pulled, getting ready for production
Status 155 - Car is being built
Status 160 - Cleared QC and released to distribution
Status 182 - Waiting for the train
Status 190 - Taking a train ride to port
Status 193 - In port with a ship assigned

And that's all I got from MiniUSA. Anyone game to fill in the holes?

Status 152 Paint
Status 153 Assembly

Here's the timeline on my car(so far)

Status 150 April 29
Status 151 May 3
Status 152 May 4
Status 153 May 7
Status 155 May 8(today)

So, I guess today is my cars birthday!!
I'll keep you informed of the timeline as I get updates.

Call MINIUSA at 866-275-6464 and get customer service. Give them your VIN and they'll be glad to look it up for you.

Thanks Kurt for the information. I called MINIUSA and they told me that my Cooper S was "born" on Tuesday, May 7th and is currently in status #160. Looks like I'll have to keep closer track of my car for the next few weeks...

I spoke with Jenn at MINIUSA at this evening and she told me my car was status 155 as of 5/02/02. It has not yet gotten to status 160.

She told me to check again tomorrow to see if it is updated.

Here's an update about my MC. On, 5/8,Status 155, production was completed. On 5/9, Status 160, my car cleared QC and was released for distribution. Today, 5/10, my car passed through stauses 182, 190, and is now in Status 193 assigned to the Trinidad which sails on 5/13.

Gary, join the frustrated bunch of us who have cars stuck in limbo. My car was built 1 May but for the last 9 days it has been stuck at Status 155 parked somewhere at the factory.

I've been told it needed work done because of the xenon lights - but I'm not really sure what that means other than I have been assured the car is equipped with xenons as ordered.

I'm bummed. As you know, our MINI's are only different by two VIN digits, and are bound for the same dealership. It would appear they are now being seperated at birth.

Well, they might get a chance to reunite in White Plains, as I may not be able to pick mine up until Mid June.

Dave, I'm happy your car is on it's way, but don't be bummed out for me. I'm leaving on vacation for the next 9 days, so I'm going to give up the obsessive checking for updates 3 or 4 times a day on the Owner's Lounge, looking every 4 hours for my car's VIN on the WW site, and the at least once-daily calls to MINIUSA asking for the latest status about my car.

(Well, maybe I'll take some time during the vacation to call MINIUSA to bug them once or twice while I'll gone. )

Unfortunately, the Owners' Lounge doesn't reference these status codes. I just called MINI USA today to find out the status of my 'S' (112 waiting to go 150) and suggested that the site should use them also.
