Offline | Hey Pete, You mentioned that the departure was listed on th W&W website. You should be able to follow the info posted in the MINI2 FAQ for this carrier. If however, your car did not end up on a W&W vessel, you should be able to get a bill of lading number from your dealer. That wilkl most likely have info about the Shipping company - Mine was on an NYK Lines ship. Then you can search online for some phone numbers or websites for that company and work from there... The NYK lines web info never worked for me, but I was able to get a phone number, and talk with a human there. I explained my situation, and they gave me a phone number for the RO/RO (Roll-on/Roll-off) division. Those folks were pretty helpful, especially because my ship had a delay of about a week in the open ocean! _Dave_ |

Offline | more pix Congrats to all who got their Minis Mine's back in the shop as they are having trouble fixing a minor coolant leak. Some other small issues are also being adressed too There were some scratches underneath where the bonnet meets the frame of the car They are going to reapint just that area. You can't see it until you open the bonnet. Also the service techs dented one of the metal plates over the drivers side runner (long plastic thingy under the door) and they also scratched the plastic pretty good. But they said they would fix it all Ken - stop grading papers and drive in this beautiful sunny California type weather we are having in Atlanta. That's an order Okay J/KI was motoring all weekend Here are some more pix. One of the great car cover from California car cover. I love it. Since I don't have a garage - its the best I can do Other pix show the tinted windows and I put on a thin coat of Collinite wax - Wow - check out the reflection - It's great stuff.Motoring all over the place - at 500 miles now ![]() |

Offline | Just out of curiosity..how long does it take you to put that on? Or more importantly..how long does it take to take it down, fold it and store it? We thought about getting one for the wife when she has it parked at work (for inclement weather) but wasn't sure about the hassle of it all... Thanks, Randy |

Offline | Randy - it only takes a couple of minutes once you get the hang of it to put the car cover on and take it off. Getting the antenna pocket lined up takes getting used to I just unroll it from bonnet to boot, then pull the sides out - line up the antenna pocket - cover the mirrors - then the front and back and you're done I park under some trees and don't want tree sap and bird droppings on my Mini The cover is lightweight and soft - it's called stormweave. The website is here Motor on ![]() |

Offline | 2 more days I have 2 more long days until I get my MINI. Boy does time go by slow. Bad news, my aero kit will have to be shipped to me. It did not make it onto the truck I wonder how much that will cost me ![]() |

Offline | Kellzir, are you talking about shipping costs? I would put up a screaming fit if they tried to charge you for that. Like it was YOUR fault it didn't make it on the truck?! 2 more days huh? Heck, just say less than 48 hours. It sounds shorter or you could use 2,880 minutes... or you could use 172,800 seconds...whichever works best for your particular needs. It's mind over matter. If you don't mind, it don't matter. Taz |

Offline | Yep, I've noticed that, too. For fun, right before I shut down, I sometimes toggle all six switches . . . because I can! The sound afterward makes this little ritual seem that much cooler!BTW, today I hit 1,200 miles on the clock! Muh-ha-ha-ha-ha! |

Offline | Hey, Dave, sounds like a great trip. I have been very busy lately, and I need such a trip myself. Anyhoo, I think your Jetson description is about right. Frankly, I was never really worried about it, but it was something I noticed, and, yes, it's true. The MCS makes several different noises. For example, I have also heard all kind of clicks and knocks when I was having to shift a lot when in very slow traffic (Ah, California traffic!). I think I'll have to try to catalog every single thing I hear at some point! 'Bud: Congratulations! Perhaps you and I will cross paths someday. Why, the Missus and I were in S.F. on Saturday evening, visiting her brother (just bought a house in Noe Valley!). I must have seen at least a dozen MINIs, including a Blue Classic with a white roof on Fell/Stanyan. I really felt as though I was in my element! Good motoring to you, indeed! Slide: Brilliant motor! I really like the stripes with the rules against the dark silver. Have a great time all of the time! |

| MINI2 Regular | Thanks Johnny, you know, your brother-in-law has moved to MINIland! I think Noe Valley has more MINIs than any neighborhood in San Francisco. I work over there one day a week so keep your eye out for a P/W with red seats next time you're over there, or anywhere around town actually. I haven't spotted another MINI exactly like mine--YET! Kellzir---rooting for you with the aero kit situation. Hang in. One way or another you'll have an awesome MINI soon. Keep us posted. |
