Offline | ARGH! I am a PW too!!! lol... I wish mine would get here already, I am getting anxious... In the event that one (or all of our cars) get put on one of the non-WW boats, are they track-able? |

Offline | I suppose I should joint the party! MCSa, HyperBlue with black roof Build started 2/28, in the paintshop today (3/8), should be finished by the end of the week. According to 866-ASK-MINI it should be here (West Coast USA) three weeks after that! I'm in NorCal, after talking to every Mini dealer in California we went with Destert Mini in Las Vegas -- no wait, no ADM. My wife and I are very excited, we've never had a car built to our spec's before! Where we live the nearest dealer is 45 miles away, so we won't be seeing ourselves around every corner. By the time we get the car home, we'll be 2/3rds of the way through the break-in period. -- Roger |

Offline | I can't remember exactly when mine was finished. I still don't see any kind of dates on the Owner's Lounge whatsoever. It's still "Awaiting Transport". My Pepper White does not exist anymore on the WW site. I sent an email requesting info to NYK. We'll see if they reply anytime soon. I'm happy to hear that it shouls arrive faster via NYK than by WW, though. PW! PW! PW! |

Offline | I believe so. I clicked the "Contact Us" (or similar) link on their Web site and completed the information with my questions about tracking and so forth. I have heard through posts in this forum that ASKMINI doesn't keep track after production? When I called them, they also said that mine was awating a vessel for transport. I actually think (wishfully?) that it's on an NYK boat crosing the pond as we speak (hope hope). Anyway, I'll check my home email and let you know if NYK has replied. -Ed |

Offline | Hmmm... I am hoping for a hassle-free delivery, and, if possible, I'd like to be able to track the boat, but the WW site still doesn't recognize my VIN, and the owners lounge says it's awaiting transport, but we all know how accurate the updates on that site are, right? ![]() |

Offline | waiting for a boat Well, production began on 2/25 and as of 3/8 my Mini's been waiting for a boat to Port Huemene. I can't find any Port Huemene-bound ships on either the K-Line or NYK schedules for the near future. There is the WW Tristan leaving on 3/10 - hopefully my car will be on that one. If so, it's stateside on 3/30! It sounds like a bunch of us have cars sitting on the docks awaiting West coast delivery right now, maybe we can bribe the skipper or something! ![]() |

Offline | If you have a lot of time to kill, you can see which ships are docking at Southampton (their port has a website I think you can find in the FAQs) then try and see which of those ships are docking in Charleston. That may give you an idea of which boat your car may be on. When we got our car, some folks on the ship with us got theirs in FL within two days. We waited 10 days, and we're in Atlanta. Apparently there's a train ride between Charleston and Greenville (the VDC)that sometimes takes a while. I don't want to jinx you, but our car is PW, too... OTOH, we've put almost 5000 miles on it in just over three months ![]() -Eric |

Offline | The cars they are a-comin' I spoke to 866-ASK-MINI yesterday, and they said my car would be finished tomorrow (3/10) and that it would be at the dealer in 3-4 weeks. Now, I have no idea how they'd do that, since it takes (according to the WW website) 22-24 days just for the boat to get from England to Port Hueneme, but the young lady I spoke to seemed very sure that that was a correct estimate. I suppose that time will tell. |

Offline | Well, the Tristan left today - hopefully, our Port Huemene-bound cars were on it. If not, the next WW ship doesn't leave until March 19th! ![]() Still nothing to California on either NYK or K-Line's schedules, but who knows? My MA at East Bay Mini said they don't get any actual shipping info until the car's at least a week into its voyage, so there's no real way of telling where it is. ASK-MINI told me to stop calling (not really ). |

Offline | It's probably on an NYK boat, unless you haven't even received your VIN yet. If you have, and you know it's at the port, but WW doesn't recognize the VIN, then it's probably on a NYK boat. |

Offline | I just called my MA today and he said my PW/B MCS left Southampton on the 7th (Monday). It should get to Charleston on the 18th. That's a pretty long voyage, but I'm still not complaining. Hopefully, it won't be stuck at the VDC very long. OTOH, I ordered the aero-kit. My MA said they would have to send out the parts to have them painted to match the body color. I have no idea how long that would take. ![]() |
