Scott, Scott, Scott.

Processing of your MINI through the VDC/VPC is (by report) a 3-working-day minimum exercise, assuming no damage to be repaired. So your (and my) MINI will most likely be spending the weekend in Oxnard.

But when they're finished, when it's lookiing it's shiniest best, then it'll be put on a truck and sent on it's way to you.

I think your interpretation of the messages is probably reasonable (this is like reading tea leaves!). I'll guess that my car's been scheduled to be driven over to the VDC/VPC, yours hasn't been scheduled yet, or maybe it has, but there's a time cutoff for the ASK MINI system by which its status has to change for your message to change today. Or maybe they've all driven off the ship into the harbor and they're doing their best inverted glass-bottom-boat imitation (I know my car has a skylight) on the bottom of the harbor?!?

West Coast Shipping

Yes, ASK MINI also says my MINI is "at the port, awaiting a shipping vessel" so I am in the same boat (no pun intended) as you other west coasters Hopefully we will all be on our merry way to our respective dealerships on Monday/Tuesday next week *crossing my fingers*

You sound like the voice of reason like Alan Greenspan to my irrational exuberance

So maybe next Friday they'll be news and then the following weekend? or the one after?

Mine would also look like the glass bottom boat - it's HB/W w/ all the chrome, premium pkg, DSC, front & rear fog lights & R81's The fish would love the sparkle!

I'm logging off for a couple days - though this puzzle is fun - off to Chicago to get some wind, back Wed. Can't stand to take a laptop through security these days.

Monkeynet - that is looks good for a first attempt. I agree with Mk2 Colonial Viper to add "A sparkle of minis" to the shirt somewhere.

I suppose that could mean that they're going to move it from the dock to the VDC today?!? That would/could be defined as "transit".

Maddening.

Mine went from "waiting for shipping vessel" after getting off of the boat to "in transit", then back to "waiting for shipping vessel" and back to "in transit" again. I think those are just their generic terms for any time the car is waiting for transportation or is being transported. If you don't check everyday to hear all of the changes though, it could be confusing to figure out where your MINI is.

My delivery date finally changed from 4/12 to tomorrow 4/9, but if it's only going less than two hours up the road to the dealer, I would think it would be there today. My problem for the last couple of days is that I don't know who to believe. My husband had been talking via e-mail (secretly) to my MA in an attempt to tell me that my car wasn't going to make it - then he was going to surprise me tomorrow. On Wednesday he told me all of this and then told me that the MA said there was no way it would be there and ready by Saturday. Now I see this information that makes me think otherwise, so I don't know if my husband is still playing tricks to confuse me, or if it's really not going to be there. As if waiting wasn't bad enough!

Hope everyone is doing well this week. I've been keeping my posts down to stay off of the top of the list. :-)

I really like the design you've come up with. The cluster of cars captures the fact that there are a whole group of us who've been waiting for lots of cars.

To me the design is clean, bold and arty. I think it's cool.

Keeping your posts down? What else am I supposed to do while waiting for my MINI if I don't have this to read...I'll have to bug my friends...you don't want to be the reason my friends won't answer their phone when I call..do you?

absolutely ZERO to report here...just.........waiting............

When I slipped and mentioned my MINI to a friend of mine..he said "you need to get a hobby" and I replied "what do you think THIS is?"

three more

Hi everyone, Thanks for the comments! I'll start working on sparkle-izing the designs

In the mean time, here are three more to ponder.

Same here Still playing phone-tag with my MA. At this point, it's almost easier to drive out to the dealer. But the MB should be docking in SC any day now.

Four bar design

I think the four bar design is great! How about "A Sparkle of MINIs" across the top and "March MINI production 2005" across the bottom?

The headlamp design is fun but the sparkle idea is a good one, so plural I also like the anniversary them, but if I only get to vote for one, it's your first design!

Ken - not sure on the date. I think it's arriving on a K-line to Charleston 4/11 and then hopefully to Global 4/18. I was booked on the MB then the Resolve then my info disappeared. Although the OL says Delivery date of 4/11. I think that's when it hits Charleston.

Diana Whitlock is my MA and she has been great.

I'm ready - tired of waiting.

My original order was placed 10/31. I changed my mind a couple of times and then decided to wait to get the factory armrest.

Paul - Mine is on the MB too - scheduled to Dock in Charleston on 4/9.

Though I'm from California, I ordered mine from Patrick Mini in Schaumburg and am hoping to pick it up on 4/22...
