Offline | I agree...they look nice. I ordered those with my LY/B MINI, and after seeing those pictures, I'm very glad that I did. NICE! |

| Dead Man's Curve? Feh. | Ken - To make a short story long, the car was actually transported on the Cypress Trail which arrived at the Port of NY on Saturday, April 2. Car arrived at the dealer late in the day on Tuesday, April 5, which was at least one day before they expected it. The JCW kit arrived on Wednesday, 4/6. Service department installed the JCW on Thursday and Friday. I picked it up today, Sat. 9 April. Total time, port to my pudgy little hands - 7 days. Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I was a little apprehensive about the BRG / black combo, but also hopeful that it would work out. I think it looks pretty good - it's one of the less frequently seen combos. |

Offline | Did you ever hear at anytime later today (saturday) about the Minis coming in? I tried calling my MA but I only got her answering machine (not a good thing). She said she was going to call us *either way* so we knew what to do about train tickets for wednesday. (buying a few days in advance was cheaper than last minute). I'm a little displeased as she knew the importance of the timing and when she told us she would call either way, we knew we would be ok. Not to mention the wife tentatively took wednesday off work to go up to Chicago so now we could be in a small bind. *ranting over now* ![]() |

Offline | Taz- Why dont we do this then. I was thinking of driving to Bill Jacobs to see if they had come in and get a glimpse of my Mini, PM me your VIN and description of what it should look like and I can see if it is there tomorrow ( I could even take a photo if you like). Its only about a 25 min drive from my place. If others want to know I can try and look for them as well. While this wont gurantee that your MA will have it ready at least it may help you plan a bit better. My MA did not call me either, so who knows......I figure I will drive by there just after noon to see if it has come in. This will be good procrastination from my graduate studies! I cannot promise if they hold them somewhere other than viewable areas (maybe in the back or something) but I will check around and try my best ![]() |

Offline | Hey - I just checked mine again, and mine says the same thing. With the weird things going on with everyone's delivery dates though, I'm starting to wonder about this OL (even though I think mine really is at the dealer now - I didn't bother to call to ask). Who knows, maybe tomorrow the OL will show that my MINI is in the paint shop...or even better, maybe waiting at the port for a shipping vessel! You know, I thought I would be so excited when I saw it show up as being at the dealer, but what kind of cruel luck is it that it would show up on a Friday or Saturday, meaning that it has to sit at the dealership for a whole week. That's what I get for hoping for anything other than a Monday or Tuesday delivery. I guess I got my wish. It's been almost a week since we got off that darned K-Line vessel! We want our MINIs! We want our MINIs! |

Offline | I'm afraid that I'm going to have to ask you to get out of our group. Those who already have their MINIs and only come here to torture those of us who do not yet have our MINIs are not welcome in our group. By the way, when you refer to the MINI, you must type it in all capital letters. mini is unacceptable. Debbie P.S. I'm only have joking because I will be needing a ride to pick up my new MINI next weekend. |

Offline | Oh frabjous day! Calloh! Callay! OL is (for once) ahead of ASK MINI! I've got a delivery date, I've got a delivery date! Almost exactly two looooong months after ordering. My apologies to those down under to whom two months would seem miraculously fast. ![]() |

Offline | Ken, I'd sure think it would work that way. Some of the folks on the Right Coast have reported that they saw a delivery date posted in the OL before their ship docked. In my case, the OL didn't show a delivery date until two days after arrival at the port. Since you're in Atlanta, and there's a VDC nearby in South Carolina, you should receive your car not long after the transport vessel carrying it arrives. -- Roger |
