| Ramblin Man | Congratulations Roger! I also now have a delivery date! Kinda funny, if one were to go with the Charleston Port vessel schedule, the MB never showed up. Till about 9pm it showed as scheduled to arrive. I then checked one last time at about 12am, and it was gone. It was a phantom ship. We stopped by Patrick MINI yesterday to talk to our MA. We talked about options and took care of the financing. I still don't know if I should get the R99s. My MA told me they can put on them non runflats. I also picked up a MINI robot -paul |

Offline | OL is confused Well the OL originally said estimated delivery date was 4/10...then changed to 4/9...then changed back to 4/10. It currently says it's at the Distribution center. My MA said early in the week it was estimated to be 4/8. I cannot get ahold of my MA so who knows where the MINI is. |

Offline | according to the OL my MINI is supposed to be ready for pick up tomorrow. Unfortunately, the owners lounge is a liar. Why cant it give me an accurate time for the car to be at the dealer. and why does the south Carolina port authority website show no ships coming in or out for the next 30 days? did they break the port? |

Offline | been out motoring! Sorry my pics have not yet been displayed...I have been out motoring. Thanks to all of those who had nice things to say about my "first impressions" analysis on our Cooper S 6sp auto. My wife is also very happy with this car. It is important for those who have taken delivery, to share the "good times" with those who are waiting. I am not great with computer stuff...could anyone give me a few hints on how to post pics. on this web site? I do have a digital cam. Well, out to apply the first polish to the new Dark Silver Mini. At this time I will try out the BMW /Mini car care products. On my last car; I used nothing but "Zaino" products. (I did notice one March group owner uses Zaino) The Zaino products are very easy to apply, and take off. They are more polymer composition, than wax I think. I have always also been pleased with any of the "top of the line" products from Meguiar's. They are a very customer friendly opperation. It is a beautiful day in Maryland....perfect for taking care of a new Mini!Steve |

Offline | Ya, when you are going to make a post with your pictures, first start to make a post the same way you normally do, type whatever you want to type, and then scroll down past the submit post and spellcheck buttons. go down to manage attachements. Click that and then his the browse button and find the picture files you want to include in your post. then click upload. then close out of that window and make sure that the picture files are listed next to the manage attachment button. Then post. |

Offline | Unless I'm totally missing something, all the OL will tell you is when the car is scheduled to be delivered to the dealer. Once the dealer has it they'll need to clean it and do some checks before its ready to go. Your MA will be the one to tell you when it will be ready, not the OL. |

Offline | I went by Bill Jacobs today (nice day out for a drive, wish it was in the MINI, but nonetheless) There still was no sign of our cars (Taz and others) actually they had alot of space to put cars, so they are waiting for them to come in. This was around 11 a this morning. So Taz, don't know if you have to change plans or not. They may be able to turn it around quickly for you if they get it in Monday morning According to OL mine is at the dealer, but i am pretty sure that my car is not there. We may have to start a OL haters thread.... |

Offline | Maybe we can come up with some new words for the acronym OL... like Overt Liar..or Obviously Lame..etc.. If the cars make it in tomorrow, it might be close for us as we are having Jacobs install the spoiler for us and she said it would take an extra day to do. I don't know if wednesday (the initial day the MA and us agreed on) will be good enough for them to get everything done. I have until the close of our train station hours tomorrow (around 9pm) to either buy the tickets or lose them, so that will give me most of the day to hear from the MA. We'll see. Thanks for checking out to see if our cars were there Hype..I really appreciate it!! Randy |

Offline | Sounds like you're on the East Coast, where they're braver about projecting delivery dates than out here in the West. Your car most likely was transported on a shipping line other than Wallenius-Wilhelmson, either NYK or K-Line. At this point it doesn't really matter, it sounds like your car is almost at your dealership, that's what really counts. It is a bit odd that the OL is still showing you as "En route" with a delivery date of tomorrow, I'd expect that it would have to go through the "At the VDC" phase before it would transition to "At your dealer". I can tell you from experience that it can still say "At the VDC" after the delivery date -- apparenlty they don't update to the "At the dealer" message until after receiving confirmation of delivery, that despite the note in the OL stating that "At the dealer" may actually mean "being transported to the dealer". Or that statement may be accurate on the East Coast, out here they just seem to do things more conservatively. All of this is tea leaf reading and best guesses, the only thing that will tell you your car is at the dealer for sure is a call from your dealer telling you its there and its ready for pick up. Hang in there, the wait's almost over! -- Roger |

Offline | Question for all who have their MINIs Hey guys and gals -- did you receive a list from your MA asking how you want your options set up in your MINI? Or do they just assume? |

| Dead Man's Curve? Feh. | I reveived a call asking about the programmable options. The MA told me all except DRLs are activated at the factory. I requested the DRLs be switched on. At yesterday's delivery I forgot to check and today noticed that they were not activated. I'll get it done the next time I'm in the neighborhood but it's 70 miles to that neighborhood. |

Offline | I am guessing your on the boat with me, I also have a date showing that its supposed to be delivered on the 11th, unfortunately, according to my best sleuthing ability, our babies are on the "Andes highway" , that is the ships name. it is not due into SC until late tomorrow. Sorry to give you the bad news. I asked my MA and she also agreed that this is what her details showed and the 18th is a much more likely delivery date. |
