West Coasters....

I checked the OL this afternoon and I finally have an estimated delivery date of... TOMORROW! Any West Coast people that have spoken w/ their MA's and have validated that the Est Delivery Date? I emailed my MA at Crevier this afternoon, but haven't heard back from him as of yet. I am curious to see if it really could be here that fast! My MA told me a few weeks ago that it would only take a few hours to get my car prepped for me, so, pretty much the same day it rolls in off the delivery truck, the key can be in my hot little hand...

Hey Ryane! Congratulations! Almost time to meet Valentine! You were right about one thing - mine arrived before yours (but only by two days), but looks like you will have your MINI first. That's cool though - you must be very excited! I'll be watching for pictures over the next couple of days. Hopefully by this time next week I will have pictures of mine too.

Have a great week! Hope your MINI really arrives tomorrow!

hembrey, I'm waiting from Patrick also. My est date is 4/15. When I talked to my MA last Saturday, he thought there was a good chance I'd be able to pick mine up on next Saturday.

Oh yeah, baby! Got an email from my MA, the car arrived late Saturday, it's in mid-prep!

Dang it, I have to wait until next weekend to pick it up. This week is going to be the longest yet.

Somehow knowing where it is makes it a lot less stressful. Knowledge is strength!

Me too! I see from OL that my scheduled date is 4/15 also. I'll be flying in to pick it up the end of the following week however.

Can't wait!!

Hey Pamlico great pix -

Love the wheels (I'm getting the same )

Wow- like the works pkg. (wish I was getting that )

If Btdoyle is right, my mini is on the Andes Highway scheduled into Charleston late today.

Maybe another week to go before delivery

Thanks for the compliments. The wheels really do look good - however, maybe it's their design, but they seem to attract even more brake dust than the S-lites on my previous MCS. Hopefully, though, it's due to new pads throwing more dust than they will when there are a few miles on them,

Even though the extra power of the JCW kit doesn't really begin to kick in until after 4500 rpm (which Shall Not Be Exceeded for a while longer) the car is much more responsive than the old one. I'm positive that this also has to do with the new gear ratios, but even at 70 mph, press the gas pedal and the car just takes off.

Good luck with your new car. The last week of waiting is the worse.

Just talked to ASK-MINI and confirmed the Andes Highway. Man, it took me two weeks just to figure out what ship we were on. As soon as it 'dropped' from the (really sweet) W&W tracking system, it went into a black hole. ASK-MINI said it was because the ship sank.. haha. Very funny, I almost threw up...

Anyway, i've been hearing stories of 24hr turn arounds at the VDC, so if we dock on the 12th, in and out of the VDC by the 14th and to the dealer saturday, maybe? My MA is Patrick so that seems reasonable, don't know where yours is going ... (hopefully, the trucker dude will stop at Patrick first, sorry, no offense...)

Sorry to give you the bad news. I asked my MA and she also agreed that this is what her details showed and the 18th is a much more likely delivery date.

West Coast Waiting

Still no word from my MA on the Est Delivery Date being true, in a way, I hope it is, because that means (duh!) I can get my car faster! And, in a way, I hope it isn't... Because I won't have the ability to pick Him up till Friday... Unless, of course, I can sell my current car today or tomorrow... Oh, the AGONY!!!

Okay - Here's what I've been able to figure out for those of us with Minis on the Andes Highway. As of 10:33 this morning, the boat is scheduled to dock in Charleston 4/12 - hopefully Tuesday morning. According to the port of Charleston web site (thanks to Ken30307 ) Workers start offloading boats at 8 am.

The Andes Highway has been assigned a terminal - which I think is good news

For those of you monitoring the Resolve, it is scheduled to dock in Charleston on 4/14 - no terminal yet assigned as its still too far away

Now how do I get my special March '05 mini support group T-shirt?

Bring on the Minis

Resolve

I'm back in Atlanta..and time has reallllllllly slowed down. Yeah..the Resolve lands in Charleston on the 14th..that's 3 years away. I'm still assuming a week in Charleston including travel to Atlanta..and then 3 days at the Dealer...so that's the 25th. I'm sure I'll get it before then..but that's the outside date. If there's a speedy turnaround..it could be as soon as the 16th??

I'm pretty pooped out on waiting at this point and I'm self medicating with cookies.

Ken are you at Global or Hank Aaron? If you at at Global we could theoretically pick up our cars the same day at the same dealer

Hopefully there won't be too long a delay at the VDC.

Just killin' time here staring at my Mistubishi lancer rental car

This wait can end soon enough

West Coast Delivery - Options

Hi from the windy city - it's cool to be in a city where there are MINI's - Yuma has two I'm aware of (mine, not delivered, included).

Update: OL says enroute, phone "at port .." = no change + no call from MA yet

Options: I received an email from MINIUSA asking me what I preferred - linked to button quiz/multiple choice option, click and send w/ message indicating it was forwarded to MINI North Scottsdale (Phoenix, AZ). I believe the dealer signs you up for email notifications. There is a thread under tracking in the OL. Off to work Scott

If it makes you feel any better - me too! I haven't heard from my MA yet (I think he has today off), but I know my MINI is there waiting for me to pick him up this coming weekend. At least this time next week we will be motoring...or I'll be eating lunch in my office (like now) and staring out the window at my little MINI wishing I were out driving him around. Will the weekend ever come?
