Offline | Thanks for the schedule! Well, nothing against Madame Butterfly, but I'm really hoping for the Patriot! It will arrive only 4 days after the Takasago. Anyone else thinking they may be on the Patriot? April - congratulations on the paint shop - one step closer! Have a good weekend everyone! Debbie |

Offline | Well Deb, ours is sitting at the dock waiting to catch a ride but I have no clue how many are in front of me still waiting. As of yet, I can't find our mini on any boat at all. I tried using my VIN at the WW site but it just told me it had nothing with that number on a ship. I take it we may be a while depending on how many are ahead of us. But as least I can HOPE for a ride on the Patriot (between you, me and the fencepost, I'd settle for Madame Butterfly if it would remove any doubts )We'll hope that your Mini gets on the Patriot and hopefully you can beguile the skipper into taking ours along! ![]() |

Offline | To be honest, I would probably be pretty happy with the Madame Butterfly too, but I'm still hoping for the Patiot! :-) I don't know if this is how it works every time, but earlier in the week, my MINI showed up as booked for the Takasago very early on the 16th (it finished production on the 15th) and the ship arrived at the port on the 17th. Maybe they fill up the booking list the day before the ship arrives?? I'm not getting my hopes up this time after getting bumped yesterday though! With two ships coming within a week and another not far behind it, there's no doubt that we should be on one of them...along with AprilWhine - right April? :-) Yippee! ![]() |

Offline | I'm shooting for the RESOLVE...but who knows...I might be on the MADAME BUTTERFLY (if..if..if.). I'm the opposite about getting swirred up in excitement. Disapointment I can handle...thrills (even pretend ones) are hard to come by. Oh..and thanks to whomever gave me that positive REP..made me smile! KC |

| Dead Man's Curve? Feh. | Well, I've been watching this thread for a time and figured I should finally declare myself. My '05 MCS completed construction yesterday, 17 March and is booked on the Cypress Trail, scheduled to depart Southampton on 22 March and arrive in NYC on 1 April. Presently it's at the terminal, waiting to be scanned. At this point there are an additional 93 MINIs booked on this voyage. |

Offline | Too Cool! Can I ask how you found out? (curious as our Minis date of birth was the 17th also) I have been looking at the WW site but maybe I'm going about it all wrong? Thanks and congrats again! You should see your MCS in no time a'tall! ![]() |

Offline | Baltimore's not all that far from here... does your MINI need anything for its voyage I could drive up there for it? some Dramamine, perhaps, or a good novel to read? Or maybe just a nice keg of a quality beverage to enjoy on the cruise? ![]() I think waiting for a MINI here in the States is bad - I can't even imagine having to wait the extra month for a ship to snake its way down under! Cheers, Ben |

Offline | Congratulations! So, is this your second MINI? It's nice to see that people love their MINIs so much that they buy more than one! By the way, how do you know how many other boats are on your voyage so far? You looking in a different place than the rest of us? |

| Dead Man's Curve? Feh. | Thanks for the wecome. Yes, this is my second MCS. The original was an early (July '02) production model, which was totally free of any major problems, etc. I had been mildly thinking of getting an '05 due to numerous suble improvements as well as a slight increase in horsepower coupled with a change in gearing. On Feb. 19, more or less on impulse, I placed the order for a BRG/B MCS with Cold Weather and Sport (w/web spoke wheels) packages, MFSW, LSD, sunroof, arm rest, rear fog lamp, and the JCW kit. So here it is a month to the day later and the car is bulit and sitting at the terminal. Tazminia - I just kept checking the WW site and yesterday afternoon it showed that the car was booked on the Cypress Trail, Voyage EA511-CYT. This morning it has updated again showing that it's now been received at the terminal. By the way, once a Voyage number is showing you can click on that number and you'll receive details of the route. For example, today (19 March) the Cypress Trail is scheduled to make a quick stop at Gothenburg, Sweden and then on to Zeebrugge, Belgium on the 21st before picking up our cars at Southampton on the 22nd. dpacker, you can find out what other MINIs will be making the trip with yours once a Booking Number appears on the WW site. Note the booking number and then look on the right side of the WW page and click on "Booking number" under "TRACK BY". Enter the booking number on the subsequent page and click 'Track'. You'll then be presented with a page listing the VINs of all the MINIs booked on that trip. Right now there are a total of 105 MINIs booked for Tuesday's departure. |

Offline | Thanks for the info Pamlico, I wrote it down for later use. I just now checked again and it tells me it has no information on the number I gave them (my VIN). Since yours is already on a ships log, I was thinking mine might be on one of them but it's not to be yet I'll keep hoping that it may have caught another line (KL I think?) that isn't as info friendly but on it's way nonetheless (hows THAT for optimism??)BTW, you car that you speced sounds dynamite! Nice job Don't forget pics upon it's arrival! |

| Dead Man's Curve? Feh. | Tazminia, if your VIN doesn't show up on WW it's probably on K-Line. 1. Call your dealer and get the Bill of Lading. 2. Call K-Line at 800-609-3221 and choose the auto cargo option. 3. Give them your Bill of Lading and they'll tell you if it's on one of their ships. Good luck. |

| Dead Man's Curve? Feh. | Tazminia - If you're really obsessed, once you know which ship, you can search for a picture of it. One site to start is http://www.shipphotos.co.uk/ . If you can't find the picture here there are a number of other sites that are dedicated to ship pictures. It took me a while, but eventually I was able to find a picture of the car transporter that my car is booked on. |

Offline | Hi. I ordered my Cooper on March 11, and was informed by my MA that it is scheduled for production. The mini usa tracking site was of no use as it still showed the car as being on order after I called my MA. ASK MINI just told me that my car should be completed April 1. I am expecting an all black Cooper with the Sport and Premium packages, black cloth interior with space gray seat inserts, and anthracite trim. I was going to get a cassette stereo instead of the CD so I can plug in my cassette adapter to use my mp3 player, but I decided to go for the CD player and the universal adapter plug ($49) that I may install myself. So, a couple of questions: What is LSD besides a drug? =o) There was mention in previous posts of the center armrest being included with the Premium package starting this month. Is that on all the cars with the Premium package? The S only? The convertible(s) only? I didn't order a center armrest although now I think I want one. Does anyone here know for sure? I guess if worse comes to worst, I'll have to wait until Monday to talk to a live rep. ;o) Zip |

Offline | Good questions. LSD stands for Limited Slip Differential. A must-have if you're considering a MINI Cooper S with the manual transmission, it's not available with the MCSa (automatic transmission MINI Cooper S). The armrest comes standard on convertibles built after 3/1 with the Premium package. it's an option on all other MINIs. Of course, my car was built starting 2/28 so I didn't get it. Such is life. The CD player in the '05 MINIs will play MP3s directly from a home-burnt CD, so you might consider sticking with the CD player, and consider the AUX adapter (relatively inexpensive) to hook up your MP3 player. If you have an iPod then there are connection choices available just for that unit. The website has a 2-3 day lag. You can call 866-ASK-MINI and get updates -- using your production number -- from their automated system, it's usually right on in terms of where your car is in their manufacturing process. Once a VIN has been issued it's too late to change your car's configuration. |
