This is my first post and I have a question I couldn't find answered.

I have ordered a Mini S Convertible and have a production number but not a date.

Are the production numbers done sequentially? In other words is 6767800 built right after 6767799?

If so can anyone quote their production number and the date it went into production?

Hey if you want to protect your production number just change it by a few or put an X for the last digit or two.

Also, how in the heck did you find out what ship, and what is the WW URL you are referencing and how do you track this all?

Mine's 6737270, and it went into production around 4/10.

I was on the Takasago and got discharged this morning. Woo! Unfortunately, I won't be taking delivery 'til the end of May, but my dealer, Dreyer & Reinbold, have been cool with that. I'm not sure I'll be able to stay away from the lot, tho! :-)

Hello:

My '05 MCS just finished production (yay!) and has been at Southampton since this past Wednesday. It was booked on the Jingu Maru which left today, according to the W&W website. However, while the W&W website indicates that the Jingu Maru has sailed, the status of the mini is still Received at Terminal (as is all the other 159 VINs in the same Booking group).

Just wondering if you think my Mini is now waiting for another ship or if the cargo tracking portion of the W&W website lags behind the ship tracking portion.

Pretty funny that I got a quick answer from someone at the same dealer.

So mine is 676780X and believe it to be going to production the first week of May.

How did you find out the ship information? Does that show up on the Mini tracking trough the owners lounge?

Why are you waiting until the end of May?

I finally unloaded yesterday in Charleston SC. Miniusa shows an estimated delivery date of 5/13. I am in Dallas anyoney else unload yesterday? Where are you at geographically and what edd's are you getting? I am curious is they just add 2 weeks as a standard.

Who's your MA, Bob? (if that is your *real* name) :-) Are you in Indy?

There's some FAQs on finding out which ship you're on. The simplest way to find out if you're on a WW ship is to go here (http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto ; reload the page to get past the error) and punch in your VIN. If you're on WW, you should get a hit. The other shipping lines don't provide this level of tracking...

Rhonda is my MA, though I haven't met her yet. Did the deal on the phone since she had the earliest build slot in the midwest.

I've found the May group which is where I'll build (I hope) and I'll live there.

Thanks, I believe that is all we have until the MA calls. Anyone know how to see if it has left the VDC? Any ground transportation tracking?

Even the dealers don't REALLY know when it's left the vdc... Once it hits this country you basically are in the dark until it arrives at the dealership.

Yeah, I'm in the VPC blackhole right now. The car was offloaded in NY last Sunday (24th) and I'm still waiting for "come pick up your car" call. There is no official word what the delay is, but my MA told me it's probably just slow going through customs.

Ernest T Nugget (the T is for Troublefree) left the paint shop on Saturday and is due for completion the day after tomorrow. So he's one of those awkward Minis that span two production months. Probably a week before he's loaded and underway.

Are all East Coast US Minis using WW now, or is there another shipping company he might use? pb

Welp, it looks like "Koopa" is now on the Trianon, after being passed over by the Jingu Maru and the Resolve. It's set to sail tomorrow and docks in New York on 5/11. However, I'll believe it when I see that it's "Loaded on Vessel".

Anyone else on the Trianon? The excitement and anticipation is killing me!
