I was getting worried, as my owner's lounge login was returning an invalid message, as if I no longer existed on the planet! Then a day and a half of limbo, but this morning when I plugged my VIN into the WW page I got a booking number and a "Received at Terminal" message with the Maersk Teal listed as the vessel and a departure date of tomorrow!!! Woohoo!

Now if I can just ignore those stories of cars being pulled off at the last minute...

Alright! Koopa is loaded on the TRIANON which set sail yesterday. Should be in New York next Wednesday. The vessel has not yet reported any marine weather observations so no tracking as of yet. But, just for fun, I have been tracking other W&W ships

Good for Koopa! Nugget shows a status of LOADED ON VESSEL (Maersk Teal) and the ship sailed just a few hours ago! Gawd, I'm trying SO HARD to ignore those stories of cars being pulled at the last moment!

Finally, I got the call from my MA yesterday saying that my Cooper S just came off the truck and is now sitting in their lot waiting for the Statement of Origin to arrive. With a little bit of luck I'll be motoring Saturday, but more likely Monday.

So exciting!

Great news for you... Mine is due to the dealership today. I'm kinda hoping that it'll be prepped for this weekend. I've driven by the dealership 5 times this week just to see if the cars are there. I'll do it again tonight. If I see my car, I'll have to go back with the camera...

I'll have to settle for driving my 1/20 red cooper tin top around my office here at work...

My Ramses was on the Takasago, and my estimated delivery date was 5/5. But I haven't heard from the dealership yet! I'm hoping that maybe next week...?

my litte guy is finally in transit. he was finished april 26th and has been sitting at the docks since. Anyone else heading for the west coast? I haven't found out what carrier yet.

I cannot hardly wait much longer. My saga was:

began drooling at mini cooper in 1992 after seeing their gorgeous outline on london streets
2000 discovered mini was being reintroduced to the US
2004 December 15th began the search to find my perfect mini
2005 February 25th gave up the search and put in my order for custom mini
2005 April 26th completion of production
2005 May 6th In Transit.

2005 sooooon!!!!???? will take delivery - how's that for patience!

Has anybody seen any updates on the Maersk Teal's position since she set sail May 5th? Her last voyage was well plotted on www.sailwx.com...but so far I haven't seen a single plot on this trip and MY MINI IS ABOARD!

This in the FAQ. your call sign is S6HK. the marine observations page is kind of a jumbled mess but hopefully you find it in there somewhere. if the links below don't work I pulled this directly from the FAQ page

For those with too much time on their hands, visit this US Coast Guard site to find your MINI-carrying ship's "call sign". Then, with the call sign in hand, visit the Ocean Weather site to look for your ship's call sign and current location at sea by scanning the Marine Observations pages

I wish I could drag a ship name out of my MA.

Search the WW site for your VIN; if your car's on a WW ship (and booked, and the stars have aligned) you should get a hit and a ship name.

Unfortunately since my car is coming to the west coast it looks like I'm not booked on a WW ship. Sounds like it would be a K-line or NYK. I've been trying to scan schedules and
determine which ships left Southampton May 5th headed for Port Hueneme by May 31st. but no luck yet. I put in another ask for the ship name to my MA last night. We'll see what he turns up with. I'm quite sure he thinks I'm a total dork.

I took delivery of my MCS yesterday, and what a good day it was. The sun even came out as soon as I finished getting the lowdown from my MA of what does what!

Getting through the break-in period is going to be hard though

Congrats on your in transit status. We put in our order Feb. 12 and it finished production on the 30th and apparently hasn't found a worthy ship yet.

Hopefully he finds one to the west coast soon. Unfortunately, our MA is of little help. He seems to know less than the ASK MINI phone line. I don't think I can handle the wait too much longer.

I have the same situation. My MA seems to have either very little information or very little interest if providing me with information. But the folks at ASK MINI are great! I hope you find a ship soon!

Dave -- Wow, I envy you! My MC is two days out on the Maersk Teal. Still have the VDC and dealer to go thru, but I'm hoping to take delivery on Friday the 20th

As to your question, do a search. There are several recent threads on check off suggestions ranging from the practical to completely over the top. There's also something in the FAQ about it. Good luck, and have fun!

Your story sounds just like mine! I also ordered from LB Mini and my MC finished production on 4/29, it is still listed as awaiting transport on the web-site, but I haven't called yet to see if it's shipped. I am hoping we are on the same boat!

That's so cool! I don't actually live in LB but had a bad experience at the dealer near me and bailed to a place i could special order.
Ask Mini is definitely the place to find the best up to date info. I hope you got a jump on the May 5th boat as wel!. they are saying it's expected to arrive 5/31 and I can take possession 5-7 days later. I've asked for the name of the boat but haven't heard back yet. I'm quite anxious and hoping my poor little civic doesn't quit on me before then!
