I just found out, I'm on your boat...I think. LB Mini told me that it's due to arrive on May 28th and should be at the dealership the first week of June, but he couldn't tell me anything else. Ask Mini also didn't have any new info for me since it was at the port of exit. How do you find out what boat it's on etc? The guy at LB said he thought it was coming into the east coast and then transported to LB mini. Could that be right? I thought the west coasters were supposed to arrive at port hueneme? He didn't sound like he knew what he was talking about and I didn't want to bug him. I was happy enough to hear that my Mini would be here 2-3 weeks sooner than expected!

well. i guess if you are headed east coast the would mean you are on a WW ship. try putting your vin into the WW tracking site. I would guess I'm on K line or NYK because my vin doesn't turn up anything. Who's your MA? Maybe we'll pick up the same day!

I called LB Mini again, because I think someone gave me incorrect info. The boat will go to Oxnard, not the east coast. The sales guy I spoke to today was only able to give me the last 7 digitd of my VIN number. Will that help me track it, or am I not able to track the west coast boats? What is an MA? Thanks for your help. By the way, who is the dealer closest to where you live? I choose LB because they were the only dealer that sold MSRP. I went to Calabasas and Studio City and both had dealer mark ups. Thanks,

that sounds like a more valid story....
no unfortunately I've not been able to figure out how to track a west coast boat. doesn't seem possible unless you have a ship name or call sign. which you can only get from an MA (motering advisor)
My first experience at a dealer was Universal City. to be honest it went pretty poorly. The guy there really pushed hard to sell me something off the lot even though it wasn't what I wanted. I don't think he's there any more.
LB ordered what I wanted. were up front about my build date. offered MSRP. I've had to wait quite a while since my build date wasn't till April but the Civic is holding up and it will all be worth it to get the exact car i wanted. Let us know when you get a delivery date! I'll be interested to see how it goes seeing as how I'll be next!

Thanks for the info. I do not have an MA (at least that I know of). I basically e-mailed my request to LB Mini in March, my build date was scheduled for the end of April and my approx. delivery date was mid to end of June. Looks like it will be sooner, but I will keep you all posted. I am glad your civic is hanging in there. Hondas and Toyotas are great that way! Take care.

Ramses is home!! Just thought I'd share for those still waiting...

I ordered mine on March 1, it went into production April 1, travelled over on the Takasago, and was ready for pickup from the dealer in San Antonio on May 13 (it was at the dealer about 5 days before then, but they were tinting the windows and adding the bonnet stripes, IPOD adapter and lighted door sills.)

The paperwork was quick and easy, and they were very forgiving of all the time I spent taking pictures of every inch of the car in the showroom.

GOOD LUCK to those still waiting, and don't forget to take your cameras when it's time to pick them up!

My car is on the NYK ship, Hudson Leader, scheduled to dock on 5/31. Are you on the same ship?

Ordered my car on 4/5 from East Bay Mini. They say I may get it on 6/10. I guess it takes a couple of days to truck it up here from SoCal.

we must be on the same ship! I've been trying to find that info for some time now. I dock 5/31 they said my delivery should be 6/7. so 3 days sounds about right to get yours up there and all prettied up. Thank goodness. I don't feel so alone now!

Any luck with finding out what ship you're on? I think we are on the same boat, it's supposed to be here in a week! They told me I should be able to pick up my car the first week of June. I am so excited! Has anyone found a good car loan? I have good credit and can put a lot down and I'm trying to find a low APR, any suggestions? I've read that some dealers won't take Capital One, I haven't asked LB Mini yet if they take them. Thanks.

I think I am another one on the Hudson Leader, although my MA can't tell me anything. I have heard that there is another NYK ship, the Fontana, arriving Saturday. I'm crossing my fingers I got on the earlier ship. I really want mine before I leave on vacation so I can break it in right.
