This is most likely a very stupid question, but what is a RSS aggregator? Obviously I don't have one, since I am clueless, but my curiosity is getting the better of me.

This picture makes me happy... only 3 more days till those of us on the Takasago can start tracking it across the pond! Where do you go to track the actual locations of ships, again?

Well, here's a good intro to RSS. Basically it is a listing of recently updated items that can be read by a specialized application (and some web browsers, like Firefox). MotoringFile provides RSS feeds of their articles and comments; by subscribing to their feed, you will see recent changes to the site.

In the case of my feed that watches the Wallenius site, it provides a list of recent status changes to your "cargo", in this case indexed by your VIN. You should see when it goes from booked to ready to scan to received at terminal, and then whatever comes next. In theory; it hasn't changed since I wrote it. :-)

Ordered Mine Thursday, 4/7/05 and got a delivery date estimate of early June. I called ASK MINI (who is significantly more helpful than my dealer) today and they said it's in production and that it should be complete by the 4/21. East Coast delivery.

Went to have a quick look at Tommy in the dealers compound today. Valeted tomorrow, collect on Friday.

Roll on the weekend.

The car wasn't due at the dealers until Friday 15th April but it arrived a few days early.
Was at the factory tour on Monday. Well worth a visit if only to see the Brazilian girl who showed us round.

Keep the Brazilian jokes to yourselves. I didn't see anyone from Hollywood either.

Congratulations Eddy on the arrival of Tommy. I did the same and went to see my baby Caz at the dealers last night. She looked a bit sad and dirty having just travelled down south in the rain but they promised to have her all polished and shiny for when I take her home on Friday. Can't wait

25 hours and 40 minutes until I should be arriving at the dealer to pick up my new mini

I can barely contain the excitement now!! Don't think i'll be doing any work today, wish I'd taken the day off really!

I want to see pics of people's new minis over the weekend!!

Just got word that it was in the paint shop today and scheduled to be done on the 17th. Hopefully on a ship to California by the 21st. Any one else on the west coast expecting soon?

Most exciting. I just checked my VIN against the WW site and it shows me booked on the TAKASAGO, arriving in NY, NY on the 24th

With a little bit of luck, I'll be in Mini heaven by the first week of May! Out of curiosity, how long does it usually take to truck a Mini from NY to Boston?

Same here, but mine's coming to New Mexico. I imagine our cars are shipping out together.

I have athread going in the Owner's Lounge of the MINI site with a couple of other West Coasters. Seems like there are very few of us. I think I called it K-Line to the West Coast or something. We are all waiting to here from our MA's about where our minis are (vessels, etc.). Please go there and post so that the others know your part of our group. If you hear anything about vessel names, etc from your MA, please post here or there.

How have you found out when ya build week and all that stuff is??
All i know is that my car is due at the dealer week commencing 2May my mates car is due week commencing 9may and we both pick them up on 14may.
We ordered them on feb19 this year and the wait so far has been painful

I asked the dealer if i had a chassis no and they said they couldnt tell me??

Anyway only 4 weeks and counting

They offer us (in the USA) a way of tracking our cars. I guess that's not an option in the UK or Europe.
