Offline | Hi Chris, Just tried to PM you but your message quota has been exceeded (apparently!!). I know this is a thread about the Cooper sound kit but are you also able to supply and fit a JCW exhaust for the MCS? If so, how much would this be. Many thanks, Richard. ![]() |

Offline | This may seem like a silly question as i know it says cooper soundkit. However is there any reason why this kit cannot be fitted to mini one. As this is not a performance increasing kit as such just a sound enhancing kit. Anything to improve the engine noise on my mini one would be a bonus. Special thanks to chris for all these cracking group buy deal you keep coming up with, if only money grew on trees. I may be in contact about some JCW brakes as I know they can be fitted to a one wheels permiting of course. cheers ![]() |

Offline | yeh you can fit this to a Mini One, although some dealers will not because they insist the parts are for Coopers only. But it can definitely fit as i know of people who have done this mod to there one. Before JCG closed they would offer the sound kit to ONE owners, with no problems. Ignore the dumbass on this forum telling you it wont fit!!! |

Offline | Hi. How much for the JCW exhaust for a Cooper and the JCW badge on the back? My insurer wouldn't insure me on the whole kit, I assume the exhaust itsself with no ecu re map/air filter would increase performance, just looks? |

| MINI2 Senior | Just for you information. I rang up my insurer (elephant) the other day to say that they had not added on my modifications when i purchased my new car. I had the chilli pack and aero kit and spot lights fitted. They said that if i was to make a claim the only thing i am covered for is putting the car back to standard and the chili pack. they do not pay out for modifications . The only reason they charge extra is because these mods make the car more desirable. So thinking about it, is it worth telling your insurance that you have Modified the engine??? I'm hopefully getting a new cat back exhaust soon and probably wont tell my insurnace |

| Hangin at the Krusty Krab | My advice would be to leave elephant at the first opportunity. Click me!! Also, if you have a claim, and the insurance company atrribute some of the blame to increased performance or desirability due to an undeclared mod, then they may not pay out at all..... |

Offline | Precisely - they've got you both ways; even if you declare modifications, they won't pay to replace them in the event of a claim; if you don't declare & they find out, then your insurance will be invalidated. ![]() ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior | Thanks for advise been thinking about what i've had changed from my standard MCC and i'm quiet shocked at how much i'm going to loose. The other downer the is i'm only 20 and the insurance from elephant is cheap for me compared to others. I think i need a re-think ![]() |
