many thanks i need this because i can do almost anything to my car aslong as the bhp gain isnt above 3

I know this way sound a bit weird but how much for the cooper sound kit supllied and fitted without the JCW exhaust as i Have just upgraded my exhaust and was looking to up grade the air filter and ecu remap bit. if it is worth while i noticed that there is another deal for the JCW cooper air filter for £211. does this include the ECU remap so it knows when to open up the flap to get a decent sound coming into the car?

that air filter is for the S works not the cooper

our one is only about 60 quid and adds another intake to that air box and a jcw pannel filter

As I understand this will give the soundkit noise without the remap as the flow of air opens the flap, not the remap. I doubt anyone will sell you the soundkit without the exhaust, or the remap on it's own though I'm afraid. could buy the complete soundkit and sell the one of your two exhausts.

Hi Chris:

Hope you can help me, even though I am from the Far East. Recently, I purchased the JCW Sound Kit from the local dealer, and upon uploading the new JCW SK Software, I realized the VIN number (within the ECU) has changed from WMWRC32040TG53099 to WBAAA00000TG53099. The new VIN is also reflected on the JCW Cert.

Is this the norm? or is it a case of accident/error at the local dealer?

The answer from BMW is a power increase of between 3 and 5 bhp,

its only meant to be sound, not performance, thats why its called the sound kit, the 3-5bhp is simply a bi-product from changing the air filter and exhaust

was quoted at chigwell £340-something for the parts......cant rember what they said for fitting..

.....have the car book for this sat so will find out properly.......hopefully should be slightly cheaper than Olly paid for it.........coming up to a year ago now..

Hi The kit is only listed for a Cooper, BMW dealers will not fit this kit to a mini one
