Just had a reply from BMW,there are no plans to release an auto spec wheel at the momment, if it does become available in the future i will let everyone know

Hello Chris,

I was fortunate enough to acquire a 2006 Competition Edition JCW/MCS
(only available in Canada you say...Pity!) since we were not allocated
any GP cars due to the crash test dummies in this country. The car came
equipped with the 3 spoke Alcantara JCW steering wheel but without the
carbon fibre inserts for the wheel. I would also be interested in
acquiring the carbon fibre mirror caps, the carbon fibre hood scoop and the
carbon fibre boot handle. Would you please provide me with a price
breakdown for these items including applicable taxes and shipping to
Pickering, Ontario, Canada.

Hi Chris, i'm interested in the alacantara/leather wheel, just a quick question though. As my current wheel is 2-spoke and has no multi function how much would it cost to make any alterations/fit? I'm desperate for the cruise control!!! Thanks

The JCW steering wheel and new style airbag would be £410 inc vat and discount
the m/f and cruise control kit would be £155.00 inc vat and discount but the kit would take around six hours to fit,it is a very envolved job this would bring the total cost for the wheel and
m/f kit to £1001.00

I have the normal multi function 3 spoke steering wheel. Anyone got better pics of the JCW leather one? I want to see the difference. Also I will probably keep the centre piece silver as it will look odd with the middle c/f and the outer trims silver... Saying that it would look nice if i got a JCW handbrake and gear knob.

You're probably bloody fed up with the questions by now so sorry in advance Got a 2 spoke leather with thumb grips atm, like the JCW - would like a Leather JCW with multifunction and will need air bag too. How much will this all cost for; the items, postage to Milton Keynes?

Also would it be easy to fit and does multifunc just plug straight in and can I receive it with the MF already installed in the wheel?

Hi Sam,
No probs,the new jcw steering wheel with air bag would cost £410,the multi funstion kit would cost £150 as for the fitting the system takes between seven and nine hours to fit it is not just a case of 'plug and play' we have fitted a few M/F kits and the wiring is all connected into the dme unit plug, this takes the time so fitting it would cost around £600 as we usually spend a full day
to do the job
