Online | The Recaaro site has these down (without airbags) as Recaro Sportster CS's, and they're available for the R53, so you could buy the bracket from Recaro possibly for the R53. We need someone to try it first ![]() ![]() |

| Thinking Minis | Im sure the r53 r56 floorpans are the same. It reminds me of the time a friend was told by his mini dealer he could not retro fit isofix to his 53 plate S as it was a welded in bar at the factory!! In truth its 4 brackets that bolt into existing threaded holes! and some hole in the back seat. Lucky is a way of life (tm) 243.5 bhp & 205.3 ft lb |

Online | Was thinking of not connecting the airbag, but then remembered the pre tensioner is removed from the old seats and attached to the new ones on the Sparco JCW's. Could do with knowing how the R56 pre tensioner attachs and see if its swapable with the old style one. ![]() |

Offline | There is a system set in place from BMW for the airbags when fitting JCW seats to the first gen R50/R52/R53 ,you need to sign a disclaimer to say you are switching off the seat airbags and BMW provide a code to then swith the seat airbags off and allthis is logged at BMW against your car Chris |

Offline | Hi Steve, The R56 JCW seats are only listed for the R56, i will only supply parts and accessories that are made and designed for the models by BMW/MINI BMW spend milions every year on R & D and test fit every parts for months to make sure that it fits and works as it was intended to,if any part does not meet BMW/MINI level of atandards it will not be released to the general public for fitment, when its down to the safety of you or any other customer on MINI2 or in the dealership i will always stick to the recommendations of BMW and MINI, Chris |

Offline | Hi The R56 JCW seats don't have an adjustable height adjuster, when the seats are fitted they are bolted to a rail which has different height settings front and rear Chris |
