United-Kingdom clutch slip ??? 260 bhp

has anyone noticed a burning smell, under hard acceleration with a highly modded mini.

the clutch is not slipping ( yet ) ,but the burning smell is there.

anyone have an upgrade,or should the standard clutch cope ?

thanks

At 260bhp I'd expect a higher performance clutch to be a necessity, you're running around 90bhp more than a std MCS with the same clutch. That's just my opinion, a burning smell would normally indicate the clutch is being stressed, or used to its maximum......after all you don't want to blow the clutch and risk damaging the flywheel too.

Get the M7 flywheel and M7/RPS clutch plate with the stock clutch disk...no clutch slippy then under any conditions

Just as well you didn't come down to the Pod yesterday, you would have had no clutch left at all
