Hi ppl, I dynoed my MCS, 4000kms on the clock, with no mods, and got 90.4 kW (121bhp) at the wheels

. I did it in 5th gear, is that the gear everyone else does it in? When I read the thread with the three MCS's they were getting between 110-120kW at the wheels....wats goin on?

Try it in 4th gear, that tends to be the usual gear to use. All the runs done on my MINI have been in 4th.

what a waste of 90 bucks. I tried checking my car manual, but it didn't have any info on gear ratios...Is yours an 05 or a 02-04?

Etalj: I have read before that 4th gear gives the best results on the MCS.

Elie, my car is an April 04 build.

AFAIK the ratios for 4th gear between 02-04 and 05s is different, but not greatly. The biggest difference is in 1st gear I believe, but I don't have the figures at hand.

You sould do a dyno in the gear that is closest to price direct (1:1). Don´t witch gear this is on a MCS.

Yeh i was looking in the manual for the 1:1 gear, but there was no info in the manual on ratios.
