Offline | Well I installed it. It was very easy although I had a couple of scary moments. Firstly, it came up with an error message when it was going to install. I think the plug must have been loose or something as it worked perfectly when I tried again. Secondly, when I started the car, after installation, it kinda spluttered for a second before it started. In a second, a lot of thoughts can go through your mind like "oh crap, I've gone and fecked it here" Anyway, I turned her over a few times and she was spot on. So, performance wise. There's definitely more pull and it's a smoother drive now. I noticed when using 3rd at around 20mph there was more response. It aint a massive boost but heck, I'm as happy as a pig in poo poo ![]() |

| New Mini Specialists | Hi there, 8bhp is certainly enough to notice that it has been remapped. All the Superchips remaps we have done for the Cooper and Cooper S have been confirmed as a worthwhile improvement by previous customers. You have to look just not at the final figure but also the increase across the whole rev range. At the end of the day its how the car feels to drive and not just the top figure. Unfortunately no. The Bluefin hasn't yet been optimised to work with a JCW Mini. I'm glad you like it Beezerk! Nick@Lohen |

Offline | Just installed bluefin on me mini one. Bloody brilliant. Best £300 I spent on the car. Highly recommended. Even my nan could work it. The car is much more responsive and its heck of a lot quicker than standard. ![]() |

Offline | Ok, installed the Bluefin today on my MINI Cooper (non-S). I did some before and after HP runs with my tazzo vpc Temp was 37F, I put 2650# in for the weight. Warmed the car up driving 10 minutes then I did some speed band hp runs always from the same stop sign on a flat stretch and always shifting from first to second about 2,000 rpm. I did 20-30mph and 30-40mph twice each, then 30-40mph and 40-50mph three times each, and then 20-30 and 30-40 once more in that order, and the results in each category were fairly consistent (at least for average hp over the band...it also measures peak hp, but that varies a lot more from run to run... it picks up bumps and cracks in the road and reads them as acceleration). Then I installed the Bluefin, rested the car, and repeated the same procedure. Here are the averaged results: 20-30mph (2222-3333 rpm -avg about 2800) stock 40/ BF40 +0 HP 30-40mph (3333-4444 rpm -avg about 3900) stock 56/ BF 57 +1 HP 40-50mph (4444-5555 rpm - avg about 5000) stock 74/ BF 77 +3 HP 50-60mph (5555-6666 rpm - avg about 6100) stock 72/ BF 82 +10 HP. Remember that this is hp calculated by acceleration on the road with drivetrain losses, rolling resistance, and air resistance cutting down the results compared to hp at the crank. It got a little more hp near the redline and a bit less further down than I expected, but I'm happy with the results. |

| New Mini Specialists | Yes, we can have Superchips reprogram your ecu and put the LCS1 map on. This service can only be done through ourselves. Superchips charge £125+VAT to do this. Yes you can, its really simple. All you need is a couple of minutes. Cheers, Nick |
