England JCW 'S' reset ECU

I am not really that technically minded, but , I have a 2003 JCW Cooper S with the 210bhp upgrade kit installed a while ago. If i was to reset the ecu by using the following techniques disconnection of the negative lead on the battery or by the button on the speedo and using the menus etc, would this lose the ecu mapping of the JCW map or does it just reset the bit that does the fuel air ratio.
In short would my car lose the JCW remap? if the reset methods, above, are used?

The reason for me to post this thread is because my car went into the dealership for a new cylinder head gasket and since getting it back i can't decide whether my car feels slower, i thought it may be down to me losing my JCW remap, but i don't know ???

No the only way you could lose the JCW ecu map is to manually unintall via the OBD port

Or for a dealer to mistakenly overwrite it with an update

England More info please!!

I hope the BMW dealership has not reset my ECU, you never know with these monkeys, my car went in for a service and came out needing new front bumper (i think they took the name sake too far), i am sure the works badges on the outside and in the engine bay would tell them it was a WORKS and would need the WORKS software and the correct one too. ie V36/V39. my car is Feb 2003 bulid so not sure which would be the best software with that engine with the upgrade kit to 210bhp, but anyway. If anyone has any comments on that please post here.

I was just wondering if there is a minimum amount of time (to reset the learnt values of the ECU) if the negative wire is disconnected from the battery??

Thanks
