Offline | Anyone built a heatshield for a K&N typhoon filter in a Cooper? This has been asked before, quite a while ago. I would really like to have a go at doing something but it would be good to see any other ideas. My gallery has a pic of the current installation with the old cold air pipe directed at the filter. I am sure a shield would help even more. Cheers "Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends, we're so glad you could attend, come inside come inside. " |

| Peanut Groupie | Like you , I have directed the cold air at the filter. However, mine was done using some guttering from Focus, which looks very neat as you can see here; http://webzoom.freewebs.com/aainswor...n%20005web.jpg Not thought it necessary to build a heat shield as well. |

| 05 BRG MCS | Check out the install docs http://knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=69-2021TP The new Typhoon is much different than the one in your photos. I installed it and have no heat issues... randy |

Offline | Hi Paul. No when was that. Used to be ELP fan in my yoof in the days of vinyl and recently bought "Fanfare for the Common man"-their greatest hits compilation on CD. Wouldnt recommend using LP`s as heat shield though ;-) K |
