what spec is it?

im sure you cant be running everything have you got them running hamsters in the flywheel??

229 bhp seems a pretty decent figure to me, although depends on the spec you have!

is it stuff you have put on seperate or is it part of a tuning package?

i know that one mistake i made was to do the dyno in 5th gear instead of 4th, but if you weren't as stupid as me , maybe it was just a bad dyno, i've heard of stories of the same car run on different dynos on the same day with 30-40 hp difference.

What sort of software/hardware are you running the fueling/timing on? Are you running something just like MTH or something like a Unichip?

I had the GTT 260 package plus extras and it was putting out just 205bhp until I had it remapped again and it changed to 245, that was with MTH I would like to think with something like a Unichip setup properly on a rolling road it would of put out a bit more but I don't know how much.

What do you have on your car?

So does this mean GTT's packages don't put out what they claim?

I never got what I should have on either the 220 or 260 package I don't know how many others have had theres on the dyno.

My spec was...

ECU Re-Map (MTH)
Iridium Sparkplugs
17% Supercharger Pulley
GTT Twin Bearing Idler Pulley
GTT Drivebelt
GTT Cold Ram Induction Kit
GTT 16 Tube Large Top Mount Intercooler + Diffuser
Exhaust Re-route Pipe
GTT Camshafts
Adjustable Vernier Camshaft Sprocket (although I paid was never fitted )
63mm Throttle Body
Stage 2 Gas Flowed / Ported Cylinder Head
GTT Sports Manifold & Cat
GTT Tensioner Pulley
GTT Tensioner Limit Stop
GTT Competition Lightweight Crank Pulley
JCW Injectors
40,000 Volt Ignition Coil Pack
Live Wire Ignition Lead Set

The maximum it got was actually 237 at the fly corrected to 245 due to heat loss I can't find the dyno plot to say what I got at the wheels. I don't know why GTT don't dyno the cars before and after the work has been carried out

How can I go about getting a set of the JCW Injectors?

what temp was it when you had it rolled??

if it wasn't a particular warm day the only things I can think of at the moment are

1. the software on your car is setup pants
2. are you sure that the parts you say have been fitted are fitted?
3. your car was a particulary low power car as std
4. GTT makes up random power figures for their kits

You can pay a fortune from BMW Australia or import them from one of the American shops.. But you really dont need them at this stage. Even with the 17% you plan its probably not a must.

i had the west - tuning 210 bhp before i went the 260 bhp one.

all the parts were fitted.
i thought GTT used MTH.

SO I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO'S CAR IS DOWN ON POWER ??

if i wanted 230 bhp i would have paid for that.not the extra £2000 for no extra horses.
temp.that day was 13*C

Supercharged, have you weighed it with you in it yet?? If you do this will confirm what 1/4 mile horsepower you have got and thus back up the rolling road figures or not.

What rpm was it peaking out at??

Have you leakdown or compression tested the engine?

Sometimes these pieces of metal wind us up good and proper, my mates car didn't achieve what it should of achieve over the 1/4 mile for about 6 months but I finally found the problem to be a knackered battery and the alternator wired up wrong, we went from an 8.68 to an 8.38, the worst thing was it probably cost him 3 championships.

You just got to keep at it its in there somewhere.

can you tell much diff between the 210 and 260 ??

hmmm i'd be tempted if I was you to go get it mapped "proper" somewhere and see what sorta power you can extract out of it then, if it's still the same there must be a fault somewhere or the GTT power figures are a little optimistic, have yo spoke to Roland about this?

13C should be fine really

the differance between std. and 210 is impressive.

i will contact ROLAND tomorrow....

peak RPM. is 6980.

tried the 1/4 mile calculater , works out to around 255 bhp.... but i rather have a dyno run.

the car was under 80 % load when dynoed.( apparently turbo cars need to run @ this load .)

So are you saying that you weigh in at 3044lb?

http://www.wallaceracing.com/et-hp-mph.php

Funny I'd rather have a 1/4 mile run than a rolling road / dyno run due to the fact that you don't race a dyno / rolling road but I suppose it doesn't matter whether its raining or not
