| Black Cat Owner | Hi everyone, I know this idea might look different, but yes, I am planning to purchase : 2004 - Infinity 2DR-G35 "Coupe" Muffler and install it on my '04 MINI Cooper, Reason Why? I love the noise the G35 makes, the problem is, Infinity is 6 cylinder, 3.5L and MINI Cooper is not even close to that. I have strong feeling that it will not make the same noise when i install it because of the power difference, do you guys think so too ? Custom modifications to fit it, and dual opennings in the back are all doable. Main concern, will it work ? or shall I get the Remus Dual exhaust instead ? |

Offline | Hi, The exhaust note is derived from 3 things: 1.The Noise that the engine makes itself - differences will come from 4cyl, 6 cyl, V6, V8 and etc and the capacity of the engine, the bigger technicly the deeper and throatier. Also how much it revs- normally higher revs mean screaming exhaust (think Motorbike) 2. The construction ofthe exhaust - ie material Stainless VS mild steel, amount of baffling, straight through or not... 3. How free flowing the cat is, or blatant lack of it So by bolting on a Infinity box you wont get the same noise as the engine noise is very diffferent, compare a Honde Sports bike VS a Harley. Even if you put the same exhhaust on they wont sound the same. Howver that said - YOU WILL BE THE ONLY ONE ON THE BLOCK WITH THAT KIND OF EXHAUST... That in itself is a pretty cool thing Andrey |

| Black Cat Owner | Thats what I thought, it wouldnt work. Thanks a lot Andrey for the support. I dont think I will want to try putting that in my MINI Cooper anymore, I will just go with Remus Dual Tip. I heared the Dual Tip does not perform as good as Remus Single Tip, is that true ? any body has any exerpeince in that ? Because the way I see it, when you have a single tip exhaust, all the air is forced to go in one direction, and thus creates more noise because it will be more pressurized, but if two tips, then the noise will get weaker. Just like how house windows whistle when its windy outside and they open just a lil bit. But when you open it more, you lose the Whistle ! What do you guys think ? |

| hey lightbulb head.... | because it puts a smile on your face everytime you plant the throttle, plus a sportier exhaust = better performance! mine is loud as hell but unless you want it to annoy people then it doesent, it just depends how you drive it to make it make lots of noise! |
