Do i need a colder plug??

For a stock MCS i am aware that the plug heat range is a 7, for the JCW car the heat range is a 6(1 colder)

I am aware that it is safer to use a colder plug when doing mods such as pulley etc. My MCS as it stands has a JCW airbox, JCW exhaust and MTH tuner ecu map.

While im changing my plugs do you think it would be wise to put a colder plug in while im doing it???? would i see any other benefits as well as being safer???

I would only do it if you were doing the pulley in the very near future.

Hi Guys, stock heat range is '6' .Colder (ie JCW & GT Tuning conversions) is the ''7' heat range. Colder is always safer ,although too cold will cause plug fouling on a cold engine.
No fear of that happening here though. As well as going colder you can upgrade the 'quality' of the plug to Iridium ; this gives a better quality 'fatter' spark which may give a very small improvement in power & economy at the same time. We include colder Iridium
sparkplugs in all the GTT performance conversions.
