Got one but havent fitted it yet, should be on next week. don't expect any problems other than swapping the manifold bolts for studs and maybe filing the welds back a bit so the nuts can sit flat. will let you know how it goes.

John - can u post some pics of the fitment? my understanding is that the obx header has no CAT .. so ur using the OEM CAT, OBX header and some other aftermarket exhaust?

I am currently using the supersprint cat back system, I am thinking about getting the supersprint header....... but someone told me that OBX make supersprint copy header at 1/5 of the price.... so just asking around does anyone have good or bad experience with OBX gear........

This thread from NAM will probably be your best source of info on this header.
Long and full of good info. Wrapped around a good dose of BS and arguing.

Yes some people have had a little bit of trouble with fitment but its nothing major if your handy with tools.... just replace the bolts with studs and a little bit of file work, at under $350 AUS delivered it sure is a bargain compared to $1500 AUS for a super sprint.

I am going to use the standard Cat and mate it to my stock exhaust for now, then either go with the new Webster exhaust (if it lives up to the hype) or build a custom one.

As soon as I get my MTH problem sorted I will fit it and let you guys know how it went, just dont want to add new parts when I have a current problem

Dan, Be careful with the cat, I have been told its straight through and not a proper cat, better to use the original.

Pete, If your worried about doing the fitment yourself? You could always take it to best mufflers in Sydney they have done a few OBX/Xforce installs. They also sell the item but it would be more expensive than buying from the States.

John.

From my experience with cats on other non mini's they dont make much difference unless you remove them altogether. Have you read the link that Obehave posted above? Good info in there.

fiesta dan - yes, you will simply need to weld the stock cat to a connector pipe and fit.
Skuzy - i've got the xforce version and i'm very pleased (although there were some initial limp mode & loss of power headaches). it's all good now

Okapi, How did you fix the limp mod prob? I take it these problems were from the cat back or a cat replacement and not the header?

believe it or not, moving the post cat o2 sensor back 2 inches resolved the problem - per Nick @ Peak.

if you want to revert to stock after cutting off the factory cat, the new header/cat is one piece and is $1,300 or so. Better to use aftermarket cat.
