New "Break-in" after JCW upgrade

Dropping off my S tommorrow for the 210 hp upgrade. Anyone know if I will have to do another break-in period or will I be "good to go" waaaaaay faster.

I was told by Chris at John Cooper Garages in Worthing to just get out and give it the loud peddle when i picked up my car after its conversion. My conversion was done at 12k miles.

Enjoy.

The paperwork will instruct you to follow the 1,200 mile run-in procedure. However, as long as you have run-in the S already and have several thousand miles, my SM told me to follow the run-in procedure for only 600 - 800 miles.

That being said, my JCW was installed with 14,000 miles on the car and I followed run-in for 1,000 miles just to be sure.

If the original cam bearings required 1200 miles running in, then I would assume that the new ones will as well. Better safe than sorry.
