Hi everyone,

I was going to purchase the John Cooper Air Filter system.....but it is like $350 I was wondering if it makes that much of a diff. in the sound of the car and in the performance?? is it worth getting?? If so is there somewhere to get it cheaper?

The price Quote was in Las Vegas

You may want to visit the website for Helix. I believe he has the air box listed for less than that.

Join NAM, get 20% of all MINI parts at Classic. They will ship to you.

Yes, it makes a difference, its a major part of the 200 - 210 JCW upgrade kit.

Is is worth it? If you have a JCW car, yes. If you dont', no. Buy an Alta CAI. WIth the JCW CAI you wont even know its there until 4500 when the secondary valve opens (although some ppl have taken that off). Get an Alta and it will scream all the time!

sorry forgot to mention this is a 2002 cooper it is not the S model.......I just wanted it to sound a little better and mabey get some hp......so is the Air filter system worth it?? So do I go Alta or JCW?? or do i even do it??

if anyone has better suggestion to get a little more growl out of the coop and mabey some power i am open for anyting........btw i am not going for a rice burner sound lol just a growl that sounds good
