Offline | All, Looking for information about dropping the car 1” (or 30mm). I have the kit (springs) and the adjustable rear control arms that are to control the negative chamber that occurs due to lowering. What I need to know is, what is the stock alignment numbers, front and rear for the car’s suspension. Can the front end be dialed in without other modifications and most importantly, what are people experiencing post modifications? Meaning performance, handling wise, and not looks wise. I’m sure the cars look great lowered but what is the handling affects of this change. |

Offline | SLIGHTLY OFF TOPIC: Grew up in your town, father's S is right up the street from you. You have a great shop for alignments and "BMW" type performance questions. Bruce at European Motors in Catonsville used to do all of my alignments for racing. He's a BMW mechanic and is part of several race crews including Neal Sapp's. 410-788-5798 Both my father and I autocross S's, he still lives in EC. - 2005 G Stock '05 MINI or it's back to a Miata in C Stock - 2004 G Stock 2nd place Pro Solo, 9th Place Solo II - 2003 STX 5th place Pro Solo, 6th Place Solo II - 2002 H Stock Pro Solo National Champion |

Offline | To start with. 30mm =1.181" or approx.1+23/128"( just under 1+3/16"). Performance wise? My dealer outfitted a dealer car with "the full kit" (several options including 30mm spring kit from MiniMania). They allowed test drives in it, it rode like kack! IMHO. Wouldn't do it to my car, but then I plan on useing it as a daily driver, not a race car. Motor on, Dudes and Dudettes!!! '06 MCS SB/S '02 MCS DS/W (retired) |
