Offline | remember you loose your BMW-warranty of engine, transmission etc.. But some Tuners give you warranty of 1 year to that. ONE Chili Red, Chrome-Grille, 16" 5-Star Wheels, fogs, Rear Spoiler, AirCondition, Sport Seats, Alu Patina Dash with Chrome rings |

Offline | I dont really know that. Here in Germany we have a BMW dealer who sells chipped ONES. I phoned him to talk about warranty, and he told me, that he sells the tuned ONES by his own risc, but he is in good luck having no faults since today. If you tune your car more than 5% you also have to tell this your inshurance ( in Germany) ONE Chili Red, Chrome-Grille, 16" 5-Star Wheels, fogs, Rear Spoiler, AirCondition, Sport Seats, Alu Patina Dash with Chrome rings |

| MINI2 Senior | Well I have my Cooper Superchipped! It feels more responsive and lively although it is not the same improvement that I have felt on other chipped cars. http://www.superchips.co.uk/curves/minicooper.pdf Superchips provide a warrenty with the work so if there is a problem cos of the new software they will cover the damage. Chances are however that your dealer will not notice that you have had the car done cos things like the embedded part numbers etc do not change. They even give you a key so that they can put the car back to normal if you want. The question you have to ask is wether it is worth it for your model? As the mini one is basically a Cooper with the throttle movement limited there is a good increase to be found (check the link eleswhere in this thread). Dispite what people will tell you use your common sense when looking at the quoted bhp figures. eg a John Cooper WRX kit quotes 130bhp out of a 115bhp Cooper. Although it has to meet all sorts of emmission regs and warrentees they have also done a lot of work to the car to get this much. The kit has a new air filter, head, chip and exhaust to do it. So for a Cooper don't expect 130 just from a chip. While the car was being programmed by Superchips I was chatting to them. As you many know they have a rolling road and so can validate the work they do. Because of this they also get asked by other companies like Pipercross to test aftermaket stuff. With the mini they found no massive gains from exhausts and air filters etc. So it would seem the engine is working pretty well and that without mad mods and money you are not going see lots of extra power. PS I have a Pipercross air filter as well. You should see the smile it puts on my face from its sound. |

| MINI2 Newbie | I have been thinking about having my Cooper Chipped. Most people I have talked to say that Superchips are not what they seem and I should consider an alternative. Are there any companies in the UK that can Remap the ECU?? If so what sort of costs are we talking? Cheers Robin Turner |

Offline | Yeah, my dealer really went over the terms of the warranty and pointed out not to mod the engine or the warranty was void. You even have to sign the warranty book to confirm you understood the terms & conds. |

Offline | Guys! I have the tuning file for the Mini One! If anyone needs it just send me a mail. All you need is the OBD2 Cable and download the software from http://www.mth-powerchip.de/ . Takes about 5 min to install. It brings the power up to 87Kw which is about cooper specs.(or just above) Chris |
