Offline | Hello all, I'm pretty new to this forum, it's only a few days since my first post but a few questions is still unanswered to me. (And yes I have tried to search old posts :-) During the winter I will probably add a few performance parts to my new toy, a 2004 Cooper S. A new intake, a new exhaust and later some engine mods. I will most likely go for one of the BBR kits (www.bbrgti.com), but I have not decided if I will have the Phase 2 240HP or the Phase 3 255HP kit. Decisions, decisions...! When it comes to exhaust and intake I'm more insecure. When looking at this site http://www.outmotoring.com/speed.html (and others) I see that there are a lot of intake options out there. When it comes to exhaust I'm a deep tone man, not loud screaming noise. I have been looking at the Borla street and the race system, downloaded some sound files, but I'm still not sure. I've also read nice words about Milltek. One system I've read nothing about is the AC Schnitzer system. Is there any sound files out there, or...? I can get a great price on this system, but without any info I'm not sure. I will appreciate all thoughts and opinions about intakes and exhaust systems. What exhaust is best sounding, and why? Fit and finish is also essential, I live in the "rain capitol" of Norway - Bergen - so stainless steel is a must. Pros and cons with the different systems and intakes... In advance, thank you! Offline | If you're gonna shell out the amounts of money for whatever kit you decide on, the real smart thing to do would be to get it and THEN have the guy that sells you the kit reccommend peripherals.........just a thought.....moi, I am a stick in the mud kind of guy so i went for all the JCW intake, exhaust, the whole nine yards..... |
