Thanks Max, BTW on your car, I think the bypass mod & OCC were worth even more than 5bhp,as was more out of adjustment than average. Felt quicker too. Bypass mod is £25+ vat if we have the engine partly dismantled anyway, or £50+ vat on its own. IMHO will make much more difference than a £250 exhaust ,and almost match the power increase of a 'remap only conversion'

Roland,

Just a quick question regarding the bypass valve. My car has already been mapped with the mods it has, if the bypass is adjusted now will this mean the car will run lean due to the extra boost pressure gained?

Graham .You will get more boost maybe upto 1 psi more. Air fuel ratio wont change as the T-Map sensor which calculates the required fuel from the absolute pressure & air temp, is downstream of the 'leak fix' anyway.

I spent all day in Blandford on Friday,it was damn cold and I didn't get 5bhp for £25 quid, but the drive home was interesting.
Thanks Roland

Hi Perm
I had the 210 upgrade plus GTT pulleys to replace OEM ones, car goes great although the weather has restricted my driving pleasure, big improvement performance wise, still getting used to the differant power curve (have hit the rev limiter couple of times in second).
Having had a Works Cooper S (sold it 4 months ago) I would say that theres not much in it performace wise, averaging just over 30 mpg (obc) but thats with me playing at the moment .
Roland also fitted a set of Works brakes for me,so it stops better than standard.Overall very pleased with the conversion apart from the weather in Blandford (Please sort that Roland)
After saying that since the conversion I have
a) been flashed at by Police Volvo (think I might have been going too quick)
b) washing machine door broke
c) Stepson kerbed his car and ruined the tyre
d) Got spotted by fellow Mini 2 driver (Bimini) on Sunday

Guess i cant blame Roland for all of that

Mike,

Looks like you are in for some fun and games....... were you not tempted to spend a little more and go for the 220 BHP version ?

Tempted, but the funds dictated otherwise, plan to get uprated intercooler next before the better weather gets here, might just miss the 220 and go for 230 but I want to change the wheels, change exhaust tips, damn the list just goes on and on
