Offline | This is a real-world shot of MINI-Madness's Tarox big brake kit. I had a ride in it and they work even better than they look. It took quite an effort to keep myself planted in my seat since only the driver had a harness. Loads and loads of fun. The car also had the Spax coilovers. I was very impressed. '02 MCS, Electric Blue/White Top, 17" S-Lites. |

| MINI2 Senior Derelict | Re: Rotors I was thinking of the same thing. However there are some disadvantages. First, if this reduces brake distance at all I'll be impressed, it shouldn't make that much of a difference when compared to racing compound pads or a complete upgrade like the Tarox or Brembo kits. Second, the rotors once cross-drilled and/or gas slotted can't be resurfaced so if you warp a rotor your SOL. However the reason for cross drilling etc is to let the gas out faster and cool them quicker so warping won't happen as easily but it can still happen. All this being said they do look DAMN sweet! And for the price, it's not bad. No point in doing the rears. The Tarox kit is nice too but it's some serious $$$ and would require new wheels etc. So all this being said I'm still very tempted to get the cross drilled rotors if for nothing else than they look great. Now all I have to do is wait until my Cooper S arrives in September. ![]() Paul |

Offline | Tarox 6 or 10 piston, wheel size impact? Any solid information about 6 vs. 10 piston Tarox brake systems, i.e., weight or size difference. Wheel size requirements? Thanks 2 |
