| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Not really. If you reset then you start at standard factory settings and it will learn your new exhaust. However if you don't reset it will still learn your new exhaust but from it's current settings. In other words it makes no difference. In fact if you have other mods it's probably detrimental to the cars performance to reset. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Offline | To answer my own question. Yes, you must reset the computer after installing an after market performance exhaust. Do so by disconnecting the battery for at least 30 minutes. Prior to doing this my gas millage went down from 36 MPG to 30 MPG. After resetting the computer it went upto 39 MPG. |

Offline | I've never gotten more than 22.5 mpg around town, maybe 36 on the highway. Was this fuel consumption based on pump gallons consumed vs miles traveled or rather by what the mini's trip computer claimed? If the latter then perhaps you've reset the way the mini calculates mileage rather than any change to actual mileage results. Please elucidate? |

Offline | How long was the drive where you measured 36 MPG before the change? How long was the drive where you measured 30 MPG after the change? How long was the drive where you measured 39 MPG after the reset? How did you measure the fuel economy? Computer or filling the tank? These are important numbers if we are to take this as more than anecdotal. |

Offline | All milage is highway milage. The First comparison was based on a trip that was 650 miles. The second based on a 470 mile trip. And are both based on accual miles driven and fuel consummed on the trips. ![]() |
