Pipercross induction kit rattle

Just fitted a PK222 Pipercross Induction Kit to a Mini One. When I start the car or creep along slowly there is a strange rattle coming from under the bonnet. It's only started happening since I fitted the induction kit but there doesn't seem to be anything it can rattle against.

Does anyone have a similar problem or know what it could be?

Did your kit come complete with a heatshield as it does on the S?
If so, did you clamp the filter shaft tightly against the heatshield wall? A lttle bit bit of movement might be enough to generate a rattle.

No it didn't. I had the cone, cold air feed and the clips and bracket. I didn't think the kit for the One had a heat shield.

I had that problem. I ended up taking it out for a little while - can't remember if that was the reason or if I was taking it out for a dealer service inspection or something - but anyway when I put it back in its now as good as gold. Have a look to see where it might be rattling against - usually the dull metal part of the engine bay.

Do you know of any ways of keep it off the metal engine bit? I was thinking of getting a induction pipe because the standard one is flexible therefore lying against the metal.

Had the same problem. The metal of the Pipercross Kit was rattling against the engine mount I believe. Sticky back foam helps
