Canada Newbie has a question

Hello, I'm a long time classic Mini owner, and lover of the new one too. I have a question regarding upgrades.

I have coming into my possesion, the left-overs from a JCW Cooper S Upgrade. Namely a head, intake, Supercharger, wheels etc. Are these parts good to use on a regular MINI Cooper? or only an S. I have to decide what to do with them.

I was directed here from another forum (Minimania)
I realize I haven't properly introed myself but I will soon. For now though, I'm Bill, an unemployed mechanic and father of 2 in Western Canada I have a '62 Wagon and 69 Cooper S in my stable.

Welcome to MINI2

You can't put a Cooper S head and supercharger on a Cooper engine without "beefing up" the engine internals.

The Cooper S engine has been extensively modified to meet the high demands in terms of power and torque ...

Thanks, is there anything else this may fit? I have heard Chrysler uses a similar block in some cars

There a few people that have put them on other cars like Saxo's... but since the SC drives the opersite way it looks weird mounted the wrong was around and a long shaft to drive it. I guess if theres space it can be fitted to most cars.

Canada Thanks

Thabkyou all, I had heard the PT Cruiser was from the same family of engines, and as I recall, the PT was similar to the North American Neon. Anyway, I appreciate your responses.
