GTT CAI Noise vs Stock at Motorway Speeds ?

Hi,

Having read Rolands test I am very tempted with the GTT CAI. Having more noise when accelerating will be great but I am concerned about how much more nosier the car will be on the motorway ( 70 – 90 MPH driving).

Anyone shed any information on how much nosier the GTT CAI is vs Stock on the motorways ?

Thanks

Generally you only hear more noise when accelerating with induction kits. Once at a steady speed they don't add much more noise.

It was acceptable in the 80's

Nice noise accerating not OTT (quieter than a K&N on a cooper) but the noise from those bloody tyres at cruze you wont regret it honest.

How close to Bristol are you?

Hi, I've had the GTT CAI for about a year now. It gives a glorious howl when accelerating hard but it sounds completely fine at cruising speeds. My wife would soon tell me if it was too loud...

TBH I dont think induction noise is ever a problem on the MCS (whereas aftermarket exhausts can definately get too loud). You can of course fit our induction kit without creating the large extra into the scuttle area. This will make ours (or any) induction kit quieter,or you could go 'halfway house' and just put a smaller hole in.
