| Xangman | JCW or Dinan This is my first post here. I am wondering about whether to have the factory JCW on my new MINI or to have Dinan installed after delivery. Patrick MINI is an authorized Dinan installer. Any thoughts? My interest is in more bang than the MINI Cooper S offers. So, can you help. My email address is: xangman@yahoo.com if you want to respond that way. Xangman Craig R. H. Offline | I had DINAN stuff on an older BMW and it was great, though I did have to detune (remap ecu) a couple of times because of the crappy (oxygenated) gas in So Cal. DINAN may be somewhat less expensive per HP gain than JCW, but you are limited as to where warrantee work can be done. If you are near a DINAN dealer, and plan to stay that way, thats a real plus. In my case, with an auto, DINAN makes nothing sufficient to my needs, so I'm forced to wait for the JCW upgrades to be available - been told by the dealer it could be any time. And I don't want to mix my manufacturers in this regard.Erik and my SoCal Cruiser 06 PW/B MCSC |

Offline | Dinan I have DINAN on my 05MCS. Have st1 so far, but lookin on boost kit in early future. Exhaust system lighter than stock(2 times) Sounds good and don't bother on crousing speed.Air box looks like OEM, very hight quality... and color match floor mats are better then OEM(they are bigger, dont slide that much) Don't have dyno # yet, but it's defenatly faster, redline at7200 And u have warranty. Will post some pics later |
