Offline | Air Induction Kits I'm after an induction kit for my Cooper and I aint sure which one to go for. I've seen the Pipercross ones, but there's a few different models. Obviously the more expensive, the better they are but I don't want to break the bank, say around £100. There's cheapo ones for £40 or £50 on Ebay, are they rubbish? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Martyn |

Offline | If you have a cooper just get a panel filter;I have had a cone filter and although you get a very loud induction noise its actually worse for the engine because it runs too rich. You need to get a remap before adding a cone filter. I went back to a panel filter last week, car is actually quicker, free reving and I guess 99 octane helps too. ![]() |

Offline | Panel filter just means replacing the standard element with in the standard airbox. If you have already got a remap then car shouldnt run rich although it depends on what remp you have, If you have MTH remap then you will need to get yout tuner file updated. ![]() |
