| MINI2 Regular | Tuning confusion Hi, I've recently bought my MCS and decided i want more power. After searching for ages trying to find whats the better conversion to go for, i have confused myself. Basically, i know about the BBR 220 pack, i know excatly what goes on and what i get for my money. I haven't ever seen anything about GTT. I am looking to spend roughly £2000 on upgrades. The BBR 220 pack comes in at £1250. What does the GTT pack cost (inc fitting)? Also after reading about RR days where people have had under performing 220 conversions and over performing standard cars, what are the 220 conversions like in "real life" driving. The BBR conversion is said to return excellent mpg which is a bonus. Any help would be much appreciated ![]() Andy |

Offline | I've had all kinds of tuning done on all sorts of cars over the years. Currently a very highly tuned GTT modified car. The most important thing with any conversion is that you get on with the people doing the conversion and get the car setup for what you want from it. The advantage of going the independant route is you can choose what you want from the car, more mid range or balistic top end, noise or quiet, mpg or power.... Before you choose, phone the people behind the kits and have a long chat with them about what you want from the car and buy from the person who actually listens to you and explains things and builds your trust. If they just want to sell you a standard set of bits then talk to someone else and get what you want from the car. |

| MINI2 Regular | I want to keep the sound of the car fairly standard if possible. Obvisouly the air filter will make a difference. Does the GTT manifold fit to the standard exhaust? How much louder is it? Does it give a raspy note and pop on the way down the revs? |
