Offline | Because of traction and also our cars are fairly heavy...my own car does it in 6 secs because of wheelspin, maybe with a lsd i may get it down a little! But when it gets rolling all hell lets loose....bye,bye. |

| MINI2 Senior | You can buy the Minispeed Big Valve Cylinder head off of me if you want to get a little closer to their demo car's spec ![]() See here: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106879 I am open to offers around the £500 mark It could prove to be substancially cheaper to source the parts yourself and then get them installed professionally. The GTT conversions are the best all-round if you want a 'homologated' feel to the car and want to get an all-in-one package. With this Minispeed head plus various other bits an pieces (all engine mods pretty much), I was able to hold station (and pull in slightly when slipstreaming) a CLK 55 AMG at a Bruntingthorpe trackday in September last year. On the straights of the coned-off course, I was within 1mph of his terminal speed (120mph), and we are talking about an auto 367bhp V8 car here (albeit one that weighs nearly 1,800KG!). I never dyno'ed my car, but it was nippy to say the least, and handled like you wouldn't believe on track thanks to the drivetrain upgrades and the PSS9 suspension ![]() Cheers, Henry |

| GP-1528 | hello i spent £5000 on my (s) just on the motor . lsd. race flywheel. h d clutch . race head .race pulleys.fast road cam. 63 mm throttle body.alta topmount intercooler.bmp induction kit.manifold play mini exhaust.ird plugs n leads.ozz.40, 000watt coil. superlggra wheels. one bloke i spoke to spent £3000 on his (s) (250bhp) i dont think so ! from a small tuner in dorset so we had a roll on from 10 mph to 60mph he is not a happy camper ! (.watch out boys shark tuners ) my mate has a subaru sti (320bhp) £27000 we had a roll on side by side nothing in it ! the guys in the porsche 911 carrera 4s (350bhp) £69,900 side by side the passenger. the look on his face it was worth £5000. a few weeks later i was at the petrol pumps who pulls in 911 he comes over with a grin on his face what the hell is in that he said . told him the spec . well says the man thats it i ll have one for the wife.(great) |

Offline | don't forget the weight of the 4wd cars and the drivetrain losses involved with them, to be a fair comparison you really need to test your car against on of similar weight and either fwd or rwd drive, all that said, well done, i'd be happy keeping up with a 4wd porka as well ![]() |

Offline | Gary i think i know who your refering too as the small tuner from dorset! There is a lot of people on this board with mcs done by this small tuner in dorset all chuffed to bits...myself included! Come to the dyno day, then we will see your 270+ bhp getting a capping from a car that was built from a little tuner in dorset The dyno is totally independant not minispeed or any other tuner! If you dont fancy that then i would love to get a good spanking down the strip by your 270+ car! welcome to m2 btw ![]() I would love to see a turbo bbr car on them too...is it really 307bhp? |

Offline | that extra 50bhp is no where near enuff hence why your car stuck with his, scoobys are at least 200kg's heavier! is that in the wet or dry? top speed doesn't prove anything, one of the lads from here with just a 200bhp conversion and full exhaust system clocked up 152 on his GPS ![]() I'm not knocking you if it souds like it is, i'd love to see yer car, shud be a real flyer ![]() |

Offline | The dynos at interpro are one of the best in the country mate, they use full barrel fans one to cool the intercooler and one to cool the engine...ive had my car on there loads of times and had it on there on and off for 6hrs one day while mapping it. I thought minispeed use there own rollers to live map or is it a german comany that does it for them?Either way i now for a fact that their rollers are no comparison with interpros! So no reason not to drop your 270bhp,150mph+ porsche eater on the rollers unless your car is making 1000bhp then you will brake them Oh no offence taken beforw ![]() |
