The result will differ from car to car. But I would expect you'd get anywhere from 20-35 hp at the wheels with those mods … maybe more???

You'll probably get a better result by going for a full CAI, such as ALTA or similar, than a simple panel filter replacement too.

I don't think so, but let me put it to you this way … Well, I think you'll be happy with the improvement if you fit a 15% pulley with an MTH ECU remap … but I'd be surprised if it reached 225bhp.

yeh i know, but they're relatively cheap ways to liberate a few horses...just trying to encourage him...the only reason they say 225bhp is cos they quote 200+ bhp with the tuner file, and a pulley will roughly give you 20-25 bhp,

I dont care how they justify it. Its just wrong and mis leading.

Dont get me wrong i like and use MTH but the figures they quote are not realistic. This can be said for most tuning companys.

Quoting engine horsepower and not wheel horepower is also a crook.

this is how they protect their claim. They can blame incorrect/inaccurate conversion from whp to bhp.

I wasn't saying how they justify it, i was saying how they arrive at it. First off the 200bhp they quote with just the file is rubbish. More like 180bhp or so, plus the pulley, looking at 200 or so.
